I have been in contact with the training officer at Dartmouth and he can't seem to shed any light on the situation. Apparently I just have to hang in and wait, I think this is due to my low FAT score, (120) if my memory serves me correctly. Yes I passed (FATS) for boh P and O in Oct 06.

Time for the squeaky hinge principle. Start pestering people, very politely, pointing out your immediate availability.
Now is a good time, as BRNC has to find people to start every half a term, so there will be five entries needed by April 08.

Do you know the different entries - I presume you mean Sept, Oct, Jan, Feb and April.
Yes I will keep reminding them that I am available, but I have rang 3+ times since March and hear the same each time . I won't loose hope though!
Thanks, Blimy

Once you graduate basic flying training for all pilots is identical as the distinction between rotary and fixed wing only occurs after you have been assessed and streamed.
In other words you do not join as a rotary u/t pilot or a FJ u/t pilot and of course there is a 3rd type you have not mentioned!

Jimmysta,
PM me - I've got about 6 practise speed/time/dist papers you are welcome to.
Same goes for anyone else who would like them - only hard copy I'm afraid so will have to be snail mail.

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
They would, nevertheless, be good choices further down stream. I don't know if there is still a first month maths and science module in Nav School. There used to be a self-study guide issued before arrival and you were expected to do this in the first 4 weeks. There were specialist navs who could help.
The book was quite slim, about 64 pages. It had worked examples of maths, and physics especially in electics and trigonometry. The latter might be the first time people had even come across trig.
History is not a bad choce either as it should help hone analysis skills and essay writing.

Hello all! I need to send a letter to the medical board at Cranwell, but seem to have forgotten to bring the address to work with me. Can someone please post it so that I can send my letter this morning?

Hey,
Just thought that this was an interesting post for anyone with the intention to do an RAF Interview. Go to post nš 25.
Many thanks to "Quiet Mason" who posted it, and good luck to him with his upcoming OASC.

Have been informed by someone, who would make a good pilot, that they were knocked back by the RAAF as being too short. Anyone know why this is so?
