Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Of course aviation in Britain will be so much better after being freed of the dead hand of the Brussels Bureaucracy....

"OK, Lissenup! I've got some good news and some bad news! This plane we're building for the London-to-Sydney air race in 1919 is taking a bit long to put together - in fact we're unlikely to make it for the 2019 Centenary Air Race. The Bad news is, the race is going to be for ELECTRIC aircraft. No, no, no, don't start crying - the good news is, the race has been cancelled!"

Hoskins, to say that one inch is about 2 cm isn't really accurate enough.

If we get to the root of this problem now, then in a few decades, there'll be planes called the 787 and the 380 that don't have this kind of issue.

Hoskins, it's taken you so long to put the bloody thing together, the Squadron formed to fly it has been stood down and recently reformed with Typhoons at Coningsby...

The RAF Museum are no longer interested in exhibiting aircraft, Phillips, but they'll have your ladders and LAC Stimpson's overalls...
