You'll love the Lightning, they said. One 15 minute flight and then spend the rest of the week polishing your helmet.

In a moment of irony, George looked up to see a tractor driver thrown from his machine as it crashed in the middle of the airfield.

You seem to have a penchant for the cowlick there Ginger.
Yes, well it's all just a matter of treating her right and...oh, I see...umm...

It was with a sudden pang of disappointment that Bigglesworth realised that the Lightning was single seat and that Ginger would not be joining him....

Right, The time has come, the Walrus said.......
(and I am in an extraordinarily good mood as have just been told that 45 year old son who married for the first time last year, and his lovely wife, are going to present us with a grandchild next July. Fantastic - that will be No 3)

3rd Place (and selected for nostalgic reasons - a friend's husband and Lightning jock, many years ago did just that-

Wensleydale - Note to self, over there is where the ladies of air traffic control reside. I must remember to take off my wedding ring

PN (has to be) - Next year when I grow up..

But in first place, and the CS Trophy on its way with Santa

NutLoose - It's a bit like colour coding, giving them matching scarves means we do not lose them

With thanks to all the guys at Binbrook 1980-82 who helped me judge this against all the antics I remember so well

And a very happy and peaceful 2018 to all our readers

Many thanks. A bit of a surprise, though we have two grandsons in Copenhagen, as eldest and prospective father and his wife both married first time 18 months ago at 44 and 38 respectively, so hoped for rather than expected a grandchild with them So doubly blessed

Thank you Wander and congratulations on the latest family addition.

Ok, as it's a new year I will throw it open to anyone that has never won one before or hasn't won one in the last year, so they get a chance to post an image.
