Blakey,

Glad to hear that he's Ok and for once the mob is going to look out for him

ENumber,

Not been to Africa for a goodly while and not sure i want to ever again which is a great pity as the couple of trips I did to Nairoberry were "fan feckin tastic" and Carnivores was something to behold..........especially the Night Fighters in the disco post the tuck Although in leiu of a condom you would only feel safe in a full neoprene divers rig if you wanted to get to grips, so to speak, with one of them

Now back to the real reason I came in here this evening......to berate the feckin muppets at Kokineli who left my frame like a complete tip this morning tensioners and p strops all over the place and the two BIG pallets in the wheel well with the two little pallets at the back With 21 pax this made getting them to the the bog a feckin circus act I just wish a little more thought went into the planning of loads instead of the obvious desire to get us the **** out of dodge to carry on the "holiday"

Oh well..............

ABIW,

Not for me to advise yourself what you should have done but:

A) Should have sent for DAMO,grabbed by either ear on arrival and dragged onto frame through front door and then pointed out all the cra@p lying around and requested that it be cleared up.

THEN

B) Advised said DAMO that he/she had 5 seconds to clamber from front end to bog at aft end else the freight would have to be reloaded.

Please note that above advice is only valid if DAMO is a zob. If DAMO is a WO then bite the bullet and dispose of all body waste before departure.

Regards to all.

E(number)5

PS: Does anyone know WTF has happened to isitd ?

EBloke,

These lazy feckers are quite sneaky in that they hide all the loose stuff behind seats they fold up to get the pallets on, clip tensioners to seat rails but hide them behind pax LSJ bags etc etc

As regards the ready access thing we had a 30" crawl way over the top so it was legal therefore delaying the flight was not really an option

But as we had 21 pax maybe a little forward planning by those currently "on holiday" in Cyprus would have been helpfull

AWBIW.

I have to admit that I do feel a little sympathy for you on this occasion.

Another recent one.
Load planned by the day shift. (U/T Controller supervised by Cpl)
Loaded by the night shift. (Not double-checked by anyone.)
Loadie gets on board the next morning and promptly rejects the load, as not enough seats down, and the only place to get them down with enough legroom was in the vibration area.

Quite simply the load plan had not been checked prior to loading.

The load was a stack at the front, with a trailer behind and the stack of bags by the para doors.

Easy to rectify by moving the trailer forward, and offset, the front stack and most of the bags were stuffed into / on top of the trailer, with a small stack of bags on the ramp.
With the trailer moved forward and offset, it was a simple job to fit the centre seats aft by the ladder.
Et Voila.

Maybe I’m getting too old. But I can’t see how such an obvious mistake was allowed to happen.

Answers on a postcard please, stating Name, Rank and Number, mothers’ maiden name and inside leg measurement.
All guilty parties report to my office, with pyjama trousers on back to front, for the insertion of a 10K tensioner.

Cool

Now then ladies,

I was directed to this site by a friend of mine. After reading this thread I must admit to being a bit disappointed at the lack of respect shown by the various users (ALM/MOVS/47AD). I know we are not all perfect and on occasion have been known to f**k up in our own ways, ABIW and others have stated more than once that most of the thread should be taken with a pinch of salt but i wonder if an outsider will see it this way or think what a bunch of jumped up p****s we are !

I personaly have no probs with any ALM's (on all our AT fleet) or even 47 AD having good friends who work both, its just sad we always seem to remember all our f**k ups or hang ups rather than the hard work (not always in exotic locations) we all do to make sure we deliver the service required from us.

Any come back then i will see you at the Basrah fight club !

Mobile Muppet,

Sorry about the late response but it's been a busy old week.

Check this out:

" No bull**** old son as that's what Mobile Muppetry is all about "

Please tell me that I have in some way contributed to the creation of your Nomme de Plume as it will boost my ego no end !!

Anyway, ABIW is right, it should all be taken with a pinch of salt and the thread used for a bit of fun. Although the thread started off with just a little animosity it has as you can see by the number of viewings and replies become fairly popular with fifty or so individuals ( I exclude most of the single posters who hadn't a lot to say worth mentioning).

Just wanted to mention this:

" its just sad we always seem to remember all our f**k ups or hang ups rather than the hard work (not always in exotic locations) we all do to make sure we deliver the service required from us

These I believe (and by your handle I know I'm probably right) are the words of someone who is serving on a MAMS team and is happy and probably even proud to be doing so.

Does it not raise a question therefore why our Loadie chums seem to have a problem with Muppets. If a member of the Movements Hierarchy ever read the posts on this thread should he/she not be asking the question "why the different attitudes on Mobile and Static Movements.

"Kokinelli" in particular seems to come under regular criticism. Why I wonder ?

Someone out there must have some positive response.

By the way Mobile Muppet - Welcome.

Regards to all.

E5.

To all
I have not posted on this thread for a long time as it seams to be the same old argumant over and over. Its like being back at school. "
My dad's bigger than your dad"
"I hate you"
"I hate you more"
Blah Blah Blah, Blah Blah.
Is it not anough to have people who are activly trying to kill and injure British service men and wemon. Without us all having a go at each other.
I know lots of movers who I know do a excellant job and work there nuts off. I also know a lot of Alm's who are the same. I cannot remember the last time I had a falling out with the movements branch. Whenever I see movers I know we always stop and have a chat and pass a little banter. I even count some of them amongst my closest friends (shhh dont tell AWBIW).
Every one works hard and more importantly every one makes mistakes. It just takes balls to hold your hand up and admit it. There does seam to be a culture of "its not my fault" which can be found in all trades.
So ends my ramble
Is it not time to shake hands and get on with it. Let this thread become fun to read with good banter and a giggle. There is to much bitterness in this world with out this thread adding to it.

All spelling mistakes are because I type to fast for my podgy un educated fingers and I cannot be @rsed to spell check..

TQ,

Welcome back old chum. You are absolutely correct - there is too much bitterness in the world today.

Have I not signed off on a few occasions recently;

" regards to all on the friendly thread"

I cannot do it all by myself so it's about time some others came in with some positive posts otherwise we may as well let the thread fade into oblivion.

That said - I'm still enjoying it and so is ABIW when he can be arrsed.

Regards to all (on the friendly thread)

TQ
You two faced git Iv never heard you say a nice word about movers except when they are present - only joking.

Gosh TQ you are so nice isn't this thread called 'Movers v Loadies' not 'Movers and Loadies should all love each other and be friends', that would just be madness.

I mean this in the friendliest way possible and please don't pick on my spellin or my grammar as Im very fragile.

Cheers

Albert,

Some months ago I attempted,in a gesture of great magnitude,to change the name of the thread to Movers & Loadies.
However the system is rather intolerant to duffers like me and it wouldn't let me. Perhaps if the Moderator feels so inclined, he may change it and bring peace and harmony. On second thoughts do we really want that.

What is of some concern is that it is rumoured ABIW has changed his allegience to ARRSE.Can anyone really believe that ?

Regards to all.

Sorry about my last post I had just watched ET and was feeling all loved up for mankind.
As for AWBIW I thought being interested in ARRSE is OK now, and as I was informed the other day
"you are not gay unless you push back"

I do not wish to cause offence to any one who does push back. It is a free world and so on and so on.
Any way what about those usless movers ( changing subject in the hope of digging my way out ((but not up hill)) dam doing it again must stop typing.

E Bloke,

ARRSE............Don't knock it till you've tried it

Only joined it for the "crack" no pun intended as i was having a mature debate with our "cammed up" friends at the time........something along the lines of me cast some bait with the extremely surprising response fom "an old fella" of an offer to come down and punch me lights out

I'm not the first and I doubt I will be the last that he has "offered outside" and as most of the offers come "overnight" so to speak I presume the are the result of a problem with tooooo much sauce

Anyway this should remain a "verses" thread as, and I am sure I have made this abundantly clear in the past you Movers are a bunch of gits

all spelling mistakes are "df" alcohol induced

ABIW,

You are right - it wouldn't be the same without "verses" or is it "versus" ?

"ARRSE............Don't knock it till you've tried it"

Tried it yesterday after I read the scurrilous remarks of some Monkey about your good self. Couldn't bring myself to tarnish the good name of E5 so got myself another handle that the cammed up lot could relate to. Notice that Mr C is a bit active on there too.

Anyway once visited best forgotten.Couldn't understand what half the dozy gits were on about anyway.Probably some sort of jungle jargon.

TQ,

Stop apologising. If you want to say your piece then say it and bollocks to anyone that doesn't like it.
By the way - were you pissed at time of posting.

Regards to all on the friendly thread.

E5.
