cheers man, I missed that

Is doing the ATPL section (Emirates package) in LPJ enough to prepare for the assessment?

can you please tell us if you got same as LPJ emirates tests or they changed ?

Almost same. But little bit different. But really good to prepare using it

Flight time requirements ATP

I recently obtained my FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license, and completed my ATP check ride on the Boeing 737NG. My flight experience includes over 1500 hours, with the majority of my time between 250 and 1500 hours accumulated in general aviation flying.

As I am now looking to convert my FAA ATP license to a GCAA ATPL, I would like to know about the examination requirements. Given my current qualifications, would I be required to complete the full set of 14 theoretical exams, or would I only need to take the Air Law and Human Performance exams?
Thankyou for the clarification on this

No need to do 14 exams if you hold full ATPL, only 2 exams you mentioned you will have to do. You cant convert your license to GCAA until you are offered a job. Note that even if you hold a 737 type rating you need to repeat the full type rating for this program.

Thankyou for your response cruisepower

I noticed a post from February indicating that 500 multi-engine hours in a commercial operation are required for the ATPL. Although I have accumulated 70 hours on various multi-engine aircraft, these hours were primarily gained through time-building rather than commercial operations.

I understand that I may need to complete the 737 type rating again, especially since the training would be on the 737 MAX and not the NG.
I plan on submitting my application and hope for the best
Thankyou again for your valuable insight.

I think you do need the multi engine hours but please check with GCAA. The 737 max and NG has same rating but regardless you will have to do the whole type rating again but good news is they have FAA approval and examiners so your rating can be directly added to your FAA license.

ME/IR

Hi
I have a question regarding the minimum requirement for Flydubai second officer program. The website says CPL/IR with frozen ATPL, Is this a single engine CPL or a multi engine cpl/IR?

hello everyone, i have a few questions regarding the second officer program

1) which QB is best to prepare for the GCAA exams as i dont intend to waste too much time with it
2) CAE doesnt give much information about assessment dates and upcoming batches for the program so when can i expect the next opening to be?
3) where can i get free or cheap material related to the 737 since i dont intend to go in training totally ignorant of the aircraft systems and i would like to do some of my own studying before joining

appreciating all answers.. thank you.

1) I heard BGS is the best question bank but if anyone knows a better one it would be great if you could let me know!
2) I think in November is the next assessment
3)when you pay the assessment fee they sent the information you need to know about the 737.

Hi everyone,
I want to know somethings about the second officer program of FlyDubai

1) How long does it take to get assessment slot after applying?
2) How long does it take to get type rating slot after successfully passing the assessment?
3) And also after successfully completing the type rating how long does it take to get the interview for joining the airline?

Thank you.

all 3 questions have same answer. It can be anywhere between 2 weeks to 36 months.

use the latest pilot jobs for the practice.
you would require to read the explanation given for all the ATPL questions as the answers / options they provide are not the same. if time permits, read the Ace Technical Pilot book.
Be careful with the time.
SIM is straightforward if you go prepared as per the PPT they provide.

There are some staff from CAE whom you would be intracting behave as if they are doing us a favor!

After FD interview

Hi everyone,

I have two questions:

1) if your successful with the type rating is it just a HR interview with FD or do we have to do any advanced compass/ aptitude stuff?

2) if we are successful with the interview what’s the process after that?

thanks

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to know if anyone managed to contact FlyDubai or CAE.
I tried to go to their office today, but it's only by appointment...
Does anyone have any updated or accurate information about this program now ?
Any informations would be appreciated.

Thanks

good day everyone

since you all know this is quite an expensive venture, what are the chances if any that even after the type rating one is rejected and not given the position??

are there any instances where applicants were rejected after the final interview and what are the implications??

i would appreciate more insight on the matter since im about to go for it but i still dont have the full picture and i cant invest that amount like that, seems to me like a game of roulette..

thank you.

The pilots that didn't get the job after the type rating are the ones who failed the checkride on their first try. Remember you only get the opportunity if you pass every exam and checkrides on your first attempt so if you join this program then take this program seriously and study crazy like everyday. You do not get a second chance for Fly Dubai.

I've not heard anyone failed to get the job after passing the type rating on first try and after the interview. Few did fail the medical and that means you don't get the job. I strongly suggest you do a mock medical at a GCAA or EASA examiner before joining the program so you are sure you can pass the real medical.

It's not a gamble if you meet their requirement and study hard and be prepared. Only downside may be you might have to wait to get a joining date. Remember some guys have got the joining date in 2 weeks after the interview and some had to wait 1.5 years so the waiting time is the gamble.
