Can you name 1 (reputable) airline in Europe sponsoring visas?
The only one I can think of is perhaps Ryanair going to Brazil and South Africa. That's only 2 countries in the world though and they only take captains. Pretty much every job ad states the requirement to be able to live and work in the EU, or UK for UK Airlines |
Assessment invitations
Hello fellow aviators I hope everyone is having a good day. I am curious if anyone has been recently invited for an assessment even though the careers page says Registration - First Officer A380 & B777. What is the timeline like for the assessment invitations recently? I have met all of the requirements recently for an FO position but it seems Emirates is too slow to give an invitation for an assessment. Anyone went through this phase recently can kindly share their experience would be highly appreciated.

Exactly my experience, ticking the South African and Captain box, hence my curiosity about the 'easy' access to the EU - and I agree with what I think you're saying, one company certainly does not make it 'easy' - in fact, my experience of my colleagues going to Ryanair was that without the right to work in the EU, they were limited to Irish (not even sure about that now!) or UK bases, and could not work in EU bases. That may be different now, I don't know.

Hello all. A quick question for all current/or past EK employees. I have an offer which will likely see me leave LHS in a national airline, money will be better, cost of living lower and we think lifestyle more exciting. We have a young baby and I'm curious if anyone can perhaps point me in the direction of or DM me regarding life for the significant others who move down. Is there a social scene, easy to make friends etc? All help much appreciated.

Yes. They put you in a villa in Meydan with hundreds of other pilots, most of whom are married, many with families. You'll have a ready made social circle.

Earlier it said Registration for an FO position now it has changed to FO position meaning it's a proper hiring ad now so I assume they now need pilots that's why it has changed. So on that case applicants should expect a callup soon I assume isn't that the case?
