Have you tried giving them a call? (971-4) 282 6886....
Surely, they should've been nice enough to notify you if they have received your application.
Aren't they adding new planes this year? :ok:

There's no expansion.... as a matter of fact, it's shrinking and at this stage business is slow...

Not 100% if Falcon covered Iraq for FedEx but :

Effective October 7, FedEx Express is suspending service to and from Iraq due to recent operational changes made by Rus Aviation (Rus). In August 2009, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority and Iraqi Airways granted Rus the exclusive right to control cargo airlift into and out of Iraq. Since that time, FedEx Express has had no choice but to use Rus and, as a result, the reliability of our service to Iraq has been substantially degraded.
FedEx has significant concerns about the way Rus conducts its business. Since it gained total control of cargo airlift in Iraq in early August, Rus has arbitrarily rationed cargo flights into and out of Iraq while at the same time more than doubling the cost of each flight. They frequently provide only a day’s notice on approval for airlift. This makes it quite challenging to give the optimal customer experience and truly deliver the Purple Promise. Accordingly, FedEx has decided to temporarily suspend service to Iraq until such time as we are able to work out a solution.
FedEx has made our concerns known to the Iraqi Government, and we hope for a quick resolution.
While we cannot predict what the competition will do, our reputation and commitment to our customers as well as our leadership within the industry often places us at the forefront of an issue. As we have stated, the current situation has made it impossible to deliver the service reliability at reasonable costs that our customers expect from FedEx.

I’ve heard the starting F/O salary is still around 9500-10500 dhs/ month ( = approx. 2600-2875 usd tax free, this is what it was back in 2006, so doesn’t sound like it has changed post WFC... you also still get around 30 dirhims per diems per flight ( which won’t cover a taxi fare!), and fly less hours annually these days. Doesn’t sound so bad to people living elsewhere, and being tax free there.. But trust me, anyone especially with a family/ or partner would find it very hard to live off that salary let alone put anything away in Dubai these days.I do stand to be corrected or course, and hope someone perhaps on the inside can provide some more accurate info.

Falcon or others

I have been scouting as much as possible to make a move from Canada to the Middle East. I currently have 2300hrs & fly the King Air 200. Wondering if Falcon Express would be a good move or if there is other turbine operators in that neck of the woods.
