Interview Prep

The names Elite Assessment, Sky Test and Latestpilotjobs are frequently mentioned when it comes to EK interview prep. How do they compare?
Constructive responses are much appreciated

Hi guys!

Remember in one of the briefings they told us that last year the profit share was about 12 weeks basic salary for all the employees.

What about this last year?
Any info?

Thanks!

Take a look to SkyTest software too. Also Latest Pilot Jobs site has a really nice info to study. Computer exercises are a bit strange and is better to be used to them (memory, etc).

ACE is nice but only covering a small portion of the exam that is the "atpl" questions. Don't waste much time on that.

Good luck.

Interesting that you applied in April and had a screening straight away, I applied in May and I'm still short listed. I meet the requirements + 1, but there is a rumour going around the bazaars at my place about Emirates holding out and not taking any FO's, until the end of the summer season.

I've leave it to you guys to work out which carrier.

Maybe it will a blessing in disguise who knows.

Regards.

If it helps, we were told in one of the HR briefings that EK was stopping F/O recruitment for a while and focusing only in DEC's.

She didn't know when or for how long. As she saw our poker face (all have friends shortlisted) she also remarked twice that was for a short period.

So, we can be now on this situation even if there's no official info from EK. If they're doing that they could at least send an email to the shortlisted guys saying "hey be aware we'll take a while to call you".

Just wanted to let you know that I was told directly from a EK HR's staff member that they were planing to stop F/O's recruitment. Again, just for a short period.

Good luck!

P.S: that was on early May.

I wonder what "short time" means to them... Anyone familiar with the crew manning levels are for FOs on various fleets? If they are short then I suppose after summer things will pick up... If they are good to go through the A380 fix that's a whole other thing...

Courses stopped

I heard that they have stopped all new hire courses for this year. But as with everything at EK that can change again tomorrow.

Hiring and courses are full on now and will continue. DEC's are in small numbers. 6-8 380 this fall as well as some 777, everything back on track by the end of Mar.
When a pilot is interviewed he scores points and if he has enough points and passes a few pass/fail items he is placed in the pool. Courses are filled from the top. If a pilots scores more points than you but was interviewed last week he will go above you and get the call sooner.A lot is placed on Flown types IE 320/330/340/380/73NG/75/76/74. There is more than just the 30ton rule being used . official or not.
Ek needs @ 500 pilots a year that will not change for a few years.

FWIW, what fatbus has said matches that said to me and others by a senior Emirates recruiter. Things can change but his story is credible.
