Day 2 is psychometric test, psicologist interview, documents check and HR interview. Nothing technical, it's basically a personality interview.

Good luck!

Psychometric test? Didnt we do it at the first stage? Or is this somehting computer based again?

I was supposed to get invited to the London Gatwick assessment, but no other news since I replied with my availability in January. Maybe they've cancelled the event in London? Anyone else in this situation ?

Hi,

Sorry to bring topics out of the context, does the FZ contract includes income taxes payed in UAE?
Or there is no salary taxation at all? Since in Europe the siege is tightening for those who doesn't declare foreign incomes...
Also, anyone knows or have an idea of the time for command for experiencie FOs? And FZ policy regarding this matter?

i am an NTR FO for Feb assessment in dubai.

Safe flights

Time to command depends on upgrade requirements etc, but normally it was around 2 to 2 1/2years minimum if you got the sim marks you needed and time on type. Expect longer than that now because of the backlog of upgrades waiting and if you join as FO, there will be 3-400 ahead of you in the seniority list (not all of them want to be upgraded though).

Company requirement is 4000hrs total time, 2000 on type and 1000 on company aircraft. Also it says 24 months since date of initial line check now.
Hi Transport Jock,

Thank you for the valuable information!
The upgrade requirements sounds quite reasonable to me.

Cheers!

I actually never stoped flying. I mean 1-2 months during pandemic and than flown regularly again. Nowadays 50-60 hours per month. TR FO 1550 hours. I am going to assessment at the end of Jan 22.

But you are definetly right. Pandemic has affected everbody's life and it was not our decision. I hope they will understand those, Who couldnt fly. We all are in same boat. Good luck to everybody.

No they will not. They do not care. They just changed the rules as they have so many failures in the sim for recruitment. People that have not flown in a long time.

I suspect the 2 years has come from the GCAA unfortunately. Means I will be out unless I get an invite before the end of Feb. Unlikely.

Things are picking up but must be thousands still unemployed. Unless you have a magic green card.
