Can you please share how long you were waiting between passing sim check and receiving DOJ? Also, AB or Boeing DEC/FO?
Thank you. Apologies if you’ve answered this already.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a bit of advice. obviously i'll take what I read here with a pinch of salt...!!
Current situation:
A320 FO, 23 years old, ATPL, uk based airline, command probably 4 years away.
I've all but decided our lovely flag carrier probably isn't the best fit for me, and the red hot one doesn't really hire that frequently so waiting for that could be a while.
I have around 10 - 15 friends currently at QR who have all said, to varying degrees of seriousness, that I should join them for a stint in the sandpit.
If i came to QR id have something like a 5 year plan. I know it sounds cliched but id want to come, save a load of cash, see the world / have a bit of an adventure, and leave before my sanity ran away from me. Coming back to the UK with 3-400k (...? realistic aim for 5 years of saving or a pipe dream?) in the bank would set me up very well, presuming I could get a fairly swift command back at my current airline, or at least a RHS job anywhere at all!
My question is, in my position would you stay put and get a command in your mid-late 20s, accepting that its a bit of a golden handcuffs moment and that the job wont really be any different in 35 years time than it is now, or come to QR with the aim of flying long haul for at least a few years?
Thanks

Aloa,
From the Skype interview, the next email to continue for Doha assessment comes after a week or 7 days. They'll send you an initial Interview date, if you are fine with it you can accept it as it is. Otherwise, You can advise your next available time(which I did). They will work it out, but confirmation of new schedule will take another 5 days.
After finishing the DOHA assessment, the result comes exactly after 7 days from the Sim ride.
Some candidates i met in Doha, who received the Passing result were placed automatically in the pool(320 pilots). In my case, I have 4 months waiting from my end of service to Joining date(Heavy Airbus).
For those B737 Captains eyeing for the B787 Capt position, like my fellow candidate he was told that 150 guys in the pool are ahead of him.( info based on 1st week of May'19)

hello guys, today i called by Qatar Airways for A330 F/O in July. I have been waiting for only 3 months. To be honest i was expecting to be called after at least 1 year
so how is the estimate salary for an a330 f/o , roster, and after how many hours/years you become a captain? are they offering wide body or not?
thanks for your replys...

Quick head up for those in the pool.
QR has just switched medical insurance provider Allianz Worldwide Care with a semi-unknown qatari company called Al Koot.
It’s a cost cutting measure which surely changes T&C for the worse.
I am disappointed because Allianz was working perfectly both in Doha and abroad.

Hi guys,
I‘ve recently applied to Qatar as a F/O on the 738 and I have received this email 7hrs later :
Thank you for applying for the position of QR7700-Type Rated First Officer Boeing | Qatar Airways | Doha.
However, we regret to inform you that you have not satisfied our pre-selection screening criteria and as such, your application cannot be taken any further.
Should you wish to apply for a different vacancy, please login as an Existing User.
I have no clue what I‘ve done wrong but is there anybody who has received the same email after application?
Cheers
