By shaping I mean if you prefer a block of days off (typically up to 6) or if you want one block of 4 and scatter the remaining off days. Preferences for far east, africa, europe etc.
At times when there are plenty of pilots in your fleet satisfaction rate is high on the bids conversely lower when there are less pilots.

Question

Hi, How long have you been waiting for next contact from QR after your sim assessment in Doha?

My stats for this fiscal year are approximately 1050 block hours on 777, factored (FO). Duty Time over 1600.
Great lifestyle, I can only recommend it to everyone because the city is also so nice and your family will love it. If you are single you will love our fantastic cabin crew as well. They might not say hello to you because you are most likely someone who earns too much for doing nothing, while at the same time just trying to sleep with them on layovers and they know from the company that it's better not to hang out with you (I told you already that the company is smart).
Before I forget, the culture and the positive developments in every aspect of how they run the airline really inspired me.

I really think that I will miss the DOH LAX flight without day off or the cargo runs with min rest every second flight because we have an effective fatigue management system which is entirely embedded in the usual just culture.
Please come and take my place when im gone after my notice is done, the seat will still be warm and I haven't farted a lot recently.

I believe more of a presentation and meeting....think they are now doing some of the basic interview processes at the roadshow to help and narrow down the list.......but those selected will still come to Doha for the remaining parts of the assessment

I would suggest you as an individual can go to as many roadshows/ interviews as you like. If you are worried about EK finding out you went to a Qatar intrerview, I would politely suggest you think about that.

How should they find out? Do you think there is an international Roadshow Attendance Register? I think most of the airlines know nowdays that their candidates visit more screenings...

exactly! “If” they monitor and try to influence you so much at this point it should be a warning sign....although I “ highly “ doubt that is the case

very good for First Officers, good for Capt’s as well depending on who you speak too (you can’t please everyone... some prefer good destinations, some days Off, some don’t like Freighter, some want low hours, some high etc).

For FO (my job)... for many months now, roster has been between 45-65 for a full months flying (i.e no Leave), for a month with Leave, expect lower. Days Off have been good which is what interests me - can always get a block of 6... some very occasionally getting 2 blocks, with a total of between 9-14 days Off in the month. Some actually are complaining as they want higher flying time for more money. It’s not the best fleet for destinations but we’ve got some decent ones at the moment e.g Bangkok, Kiev, Warsaw, Venice, Penang, KL (the less desirable ones being to China, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh - all subjective of course). We do Freighter... which can be hit and miss (Deadheading, delays etc) and provides more destinations. Most trips are generally layover - i’m doing about 1 turnaround per month.
