Captain salary: ..10.000...U$/month(all inclusive) +company accomodation +school allowance.(flat).No pension. No Bonus.No extra...Hard work&roster!
3% annual increase only on the basic.(..7200U$).You got paid for what you perform, no more no less..well on 320 i would say.. less... as sometime we have high amount of duty with small amount of flight time!

Sounds good like that, but for the work we perform on a daily basis,i donīt feel being overpaid here!
Better condition in Air Arabia,EY,EK...taking everything in consideration.

QR salary depending on how you bid.(320 family)
If you bid all night turns youll make the most hours and pick up extra trips . Its possible to fly here as much as arabia and youll see the pay is the same.
If you bid layovers may get allowance, but less hours due to regs
The problem is guys like loc2250 want to make the same as air arabia without working as much. Also these guys think that discouraging pilots from coming will bring up our salary. But the funny thing is the complainers her dont leave.
Welcome

Well

LOC; I agree with your general ideas. In fact I totally agree. However I must say that your ideas are squewed. I agree that some stupid fools thought that the last payrise was a pay rise; in reality it was a cut. We are due a 50% rise to compensate for previous inflation.

We shall see: a rise or mass departure.

edit: RAISE?

Hi Guys,

I've just sent my application through and hopefully will get called up for an interview.

Going back to the test questions. Would the JAR Bristol question bank be good to study off?? I know Bristol question bank is very accurate to the actuall JAR ATPL exams.

Goodluck to all.

No Joke,

spot on ! And yet everybody was aplauding during that meeting. The CEO and YB (now EVP HR) received an almost standing ovation by all pilots present at that meeting, exept a few (including me). They realised we where once more taken personally.

Why is it that pilots are so easily fooled?

Fuba,

So an A320 pilot has to fly his nuts off (night flights, max hours, etc) to make a descent salary, a salary comparable to the next door LoCO operator? Why do pilots on A330/B777 make about 15% more /month compared to the A320 pilots?

Any smart explanation for that one as well?

HR in this company is a joke. And flight ops management is an even bigger joke! Spineless worthless jokers!

777 bond at Qatar

Hi - could someone tell me if a 777 bond at Qatar reduces per month / year after starting or is the full amount owed right up until the end of the bond?

Is it still true that it's $50K over 3 years?

Thanks a lot for any info.

Anyone else had problems submitting the application form via email? Rejected by 2 different mail systems as "unknown". Eventually sent it 1 page at a time as 8 separate emails, and stuck it in the post this morning just to be sure.

Any ideas as to how long before a reply can be expected?

Thanks.

Re A320 trip length - would most of the trips be out and backs, or 2 day, 3 day, 4 day trips etc? In other words, apart from night flights, could a pilot expect to be home most nights?

AA

Just for interest AA, a LoCo down the road, a Captain gets 50,000 a month assuming 2,000 hrs on type, 75 flight hours (33% night hours). Housing is not included neither is the annual bonus which has been quite good, nor the share options. Compaired to a 320 driver here getting around 35,000.

Im comparing 320 operations with 320 operations. 320 to 330/777 ops with in the same company is a different story. They get a better deal yes and its not fair I agree, but loc 2250 was compairing to AA. If someone moves to AA for sure they never see a layover or a widebody jet. Its not looking good at QR either

For anyone interested I managed to work out the problem with the emails being rejected.

They need to be less than 5Mb. An 8 page form plus photo plus scan of passport can easily exceed this. I rejigged the whole thing to 3mb and it went through no problem although there seems to be no auto acknowledgment.

After all that I hope I get something positive.

Errrr......mine was 14.9MB and it went though. I didn't get anything being rejected (or at least nothing telling me that I'm being rejected!) I also sent mine by post (just incase!)
