What is a talent pool

Can anyone tell what a talent pool is and how does it work. I have been interviewed and told by Technical person (Line Manager) that I am putting u in Development Engineering pool as your skills matches there rather than current vacancy posted. He advised HR to put me in talent pool.

or he said if u dont want that then I will put rejection against current role so option is urs. I have selected for pool but dont know how it works.

Will there be another interview or do they pick randomly from pool and give DOJ or what?

Thank you.
You can use LPJ assessment training. It cannot be better and cheaper

Qr has been updating questions for tech exam but still LPJ is probably best for brushing up on knowledge and type of questions you will encounter

As this is only pilots on here, talent pool is when someone passed the interview and waiting for a joining date or requirements for more pilots on fleet.
Your case sounds like you were not selected for an interview but rather than rejecting application decided to move you to a different category and maybe shortlisted as someone to call when interviewing for that position.....I would assume you would have to interview when position available

Buddy, you are going to need a much thicker skin, and a lot more patience, if you want any hope of surviving this place.

No, if you are Boeing rated and current you will join on Boeing and remain there for the duration of your stay in QR. If you have previous Airbus experience but are more current on Boeing, there is no harm in asking for Airbus but chances would be slim.

On the training side we don't see as many DEC now as in the past. Internal Command upgrades are around 15/month. DEFO to Command running at three years if you have the hours.

More days off after LH flights. I think some destinations becoming three pilots instead of four, but I don't fly 777 myself.

ULRs (no changes on city pairs) are still 4 pilot. East coast and Montreal are apparently 3 unless itís a training flight (4 pilots).

Seen some of my mates (P1) rosters on 350 and 777. They are very happy with their rosters. Canít speak for FOs.

Stay away from QR, they are investing money in china and EU but they underpay their pilots ... as FO at regional you make more money than in QR! And that's a fact!

Please tell me at which regional airline an FO makes 8-10k usd take home a month with housing paid.
Why would investments in Europe and China be a reason for staying away from an airline?

What did I just read? I have to go out and take a walk to process this.

I don't know in EU but in US an FO in regional is getting 115-120K$/y (bonuses etc) to fly 75h/m not 110h/m ... do your math, and you must be in company accommodation. And in addition to that you are in the Doha (not Dubai/AbuDhabi nor Bahrain) ... your family can be really miserable in the corner of the desert.
