QR implodes under Al Baker 'mangement'
The latest fatalities in the Poisoned Dwarf’s “management” of Qatar Airways reads as follows:
Sacked……Area Manager Singapore, Station Manager London, General Manager Ground Services, Admin Manager Flight Operations, General Manager Planning.
Rumour has it there’s more to come and the next one is another BIG one. Unfortunately not the dwarf himself.
So come to QR for a career. Yeah! If you’re not prepared to lick donkeys (as the Americans would say) your career in QR will be as short lived as a Qatar pilot caught not wearing his uniform cap to bed.
However, it’s not all bad news. QR has employed the ex Financial Manager of South African Airlines. According to news reports, during his tenure at South African the airline truly went ‘south’ but now QR has him managing their finances. Maybe he’ll get it right this time?

Well this does not sound like new news from the PD (poisoned dwarf).... but the real strange thing is firing management guys for the outmost ridiculous reasons..... I can't say what yet but son ill have to say......
Few days ago I saw a movie called HITLER the birth of a DEVIL.... I kid you NOT if you see that movie you will see that PD is very similar to Heir Hitler.....

Maybe AAB just is sacking some great managers before he leaves so this will make the airline fumble and faulter after his departure.
Think of it sacking Area Manager Singapore, Station Manager London, General Manager Ground Services, Admin Manager Flight Operations, General Manager Planning.
I have met these guys all and know them to be V.V.C ( very very competent). I have flown into London, Singapore and have to tell you these stations are VERY well run and ontop of the ball.
So if you were a top man in a company and you were getting ready to be sacked and you had a cruel way of doing business why not fire good hard working competent people in the airline and when you depart and the airline stars to operate with a new man on the top and the services go "DOWN THE TUBES." you can say " AHHHHH, I did a much better job than this new guy" and make yourself look good when infact all you did was pluck the airline of good managers and leave the company to sink or repair itself.
This is just my thoughts of how I have seen the mentality of some people here for the many years I have been here.
Sad, really sad, to do this to a nice airline before your departure.

Roumer has it that the PD did some time in the Sugar Shack recently to cool his heels. Someone with a bigger waga-waga wanted to prove a point to ol' Master Snack-Bar...and tossed his butt in the clink!

I believe it was the 2nd Area Manager Singapore to be fired in 6 months!! Its not just AAB but GMC (MSF) as well - a great way to set up a new station - 3 Managers in 8 months!!! Those guys at QRSIN must wonder what the hell they have got themselves into....

Now the Area Manager Austria has gone as well as the cargo manager in Doha. A couple of regional managers on the brink...
The new commercial structure is doing so well isn't it Mr M!!! Your theory is great but not with the goons you have to work with at QR. It just ain't EK is it!!???? Hope u enjoyed your year and will spend your $ wisely.

Haven't been on here for quite a while. How good to know that nothing changes at QR!!! And that Mr Akbar .... such a nice man ... doing his very best for his airline and for the wellbeing of his staff ....
I wonder what the average length of service of management staff is at the airline? Less than a year??

What's the scoop re the big/little boss and his time in jail recently? It's the talk of the ramp yet nothing was in the media (or here). Maybe that might be the beginning of the end for that oh-so-little man. Once he is gone hopefully that place might be a decent environment?

Not only is the famous DWARF/CHIEF destroying QR, but his ambitions have gone far beyond..

As Chairman of Qatar Tourism Board (probably merging both organizations, employees and budget wise), 4 the past 5 months, he has succeeded in tormenting the remaining 85 out of almost 200 employees making them count their blessing each & every day that they still have their jobs

One of the names above surprises me, for obvious reasons. Seems then that no-one is safe??
I am still sure that major changes are on the way here very soon. December still a likely point in time.
Have also heard that the Company is currently grooming a "deputy CEO", or COO, whatever it is they want to call it, and that person (European guy) will be stepping into some sort of senior position at the end of the year. Let's see.
Also note that two further A332s are now here - AFL and AFM, and an A333 will arrive within the next week or so.

no offence and without being racist, but there are too many indians in qr and not to speak about filipinos ...
indians cannot be trusted and most are backstabbers and filipinos, well only 30 per cent are backstabbers but they have the problem like indians of not respecting other crew who dont come from their countries onboard as they keep speaking their language...
even when cs and csd says english onboard, sometimes if the csd or cs is from these countries they break their own rule...
QR AND QATAR SIMPLY HAS TOO MANY OF THESE PEOPLE WHO UNFORTUNATELY SEEM TO NOT VALUE THEMSELVES TOO MUCH BECAUSE THEY ARE WILLING TO WORK FOR LESS ALTHOUGH IN THE END IT IS A LOT IN THEIR COUNTRIES.

Folks, my initial reaction was to bin the above post as racist and xenophobic but then I thought I'd leave it there as a monument to the cultural divides that are endured in this region; the crass generalization of cultural groups into singular behavioral patterns.

I find it deeply shocking that those of us fortunate to live and work abroad can carry such deeply xenophobic beliefs around with them. I guess FCOLOVER22 is the sort of person that thinks all Saudis are terrorists, I wonder if you think the same about the Irish.
I value working abroad, mixing with other nationalities, different cultures and learning the language as I find it to be an enormous education in its own right.

u must be those kind that supports backstabbers and people whi live with others misery if you support these kinda people....
i never said they were all the same, and they arent, but most indians are untrustable and like to go to salyas backstage office to let him know about everything we say....
mr akbar seems to be reasonable but he doesnt see the truth behind these peoples defects becaus ehe wants cheap and hard working slave labour,
in europe we dont have this kinda treatment and people are too busy with their life to have time to backstab others.
i am sick of smelly, backstabbing people, i am sick of this catering onboard who thinks everyone like indian food, even for european sectors they have byriani....
europeans normally do not like it and passengers are always complaining.... one day the gulf will be taken over by these people.....
the other day i was walking by and suddenly one of these keralites just makes the worst noise u can hear and spits on the floor, i felt so bad i almost puked.....the only reason i give them the benefit of the doubt is because they are uneducated...
But the office is full of supposed to be sub cont people who like to see others go down.....
favouritism by nationality is another issue.....lucky for them company pays all the same, otherwise my god.....they;d be doing 80 hours for peanuts....
still qr thrives with their blood...when will this end?
