Hi guys

I did the APS MCC at AFA but not as mentored and when I applied i received that :
Thank you for your interest in the AFA Cadet Pilots - Bases Throughout Europe and North Africa position.
We have reviewed your application and we regret to inform you that it has not been selected for further consideration.
Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unable to give you further feedback.
Please note that it is not possible to reapply for the position.
Please ensure you have only created ONE profile on the Ryr website- do not create another profile.
We wish you every success with your job search and thank you for your interest in our company.

They just rejected me without giving me the chance to do any assesment, someone in the same situation ?

how old are you?

joblessPilot 21st Jan 2024 00:52

Maybe they are actually overcrewed with fATPL and only interested in TR Fo and Captain from non UK and EU countries. Isn't the whole point doing the APS MCC just to have Ryanair notice you more than the average MCC. That is a bit odd….. I think my Ryanair profile is like 5 years old now. I lost track of it a few years ago. Maybe this is the year. Hahaha

I mean it’s make sense. It’s very busy at the moment and they give priority to those with the mentored APS MCC.

Since they reject your mentored APS MCC, just by doing the AFA whitetail doesn’t give you any advantage and you will need to keep update your profile and hope to be called.

Id consider to reapply for the mentored APS MCC

Carlos0 22nd Jan 2024 22:38

Do you have any idea why you were rejected from the mentored? Did you failed any ATPL theory exam ? (if you don't mind sharing ofc)

Richard_ 23rd Jan 2024 23:59

I think this is silly tbh, they have already completed an aps mcc and to do a further aps mcc will be another Є6,000 and doesn't guarantee an interview at ryan air, its actually in the small print that either doing the mentored or non mentored doesn't mean an automatic interview , I have met a few people in the same situation whom were also rejected even after completing a mentored aps mcc or a non mentored aps mcc, again no answer was given , some of these guys had either high 1st time pass on both atpls and cpl mep ir or had a few resits etc..

ATPL is not a reason to failed.

I failed 3 subjects, did conversion so not even the EASA normal way and still got through the mentored and now fly for Ryanair as a FO.

How many have you met? Can you count them with one hand or two?

The ones who have come forward that have either spoken up or replied privately in the associated group chat when i asked was that of 14 various students, again not many people would want to come forward and say they got rejected via ryan air etc rather instead make a comment such as they dont wish to work for a company that asks for £30,000 for the type rating or they didn't apply to ryan air, again the numbers are low but just wanted to make others aware that not everyone whom applies to ryan air gets in or that ryan air recruits everyone.. i am one of those students ( 1st time passes on atpls with average of 92%/ 1st time pass on both cpl mep ir/ age mid 30's ).. i was fortunate to at least do the online application and be rejected whereas others after completing APS/MCC and uploading their docs online have just got a rejection reply.. it really is a cut throat industry as that aside from ryan air whom is the general recruitment for low hour cadets from flight school the next competitor wizz will not be again recruiting this year, met many students whom are still in the holding pool since 2022..

ATPLs and first attempt is not a factor to get the job.
probably something with your nationality, documents, social media posts etc…

Richard_ 24th Jan 2024 16:08

Thank you for the reply but i highly doubt my nationality is a factor with me not passing the online assessment nor others who where rejected, in terms of documents requested those that fail to upload the required documents stated in the application and then be rejected are only to blame themselves, as its a simple requirement also on terms of social media posts etc i dont use any of those which can later bite me in the ass as they say, this field of employment i can say is a niche sector but to get that 1st job really is hard and not as easy as people make out or express.

Pilot Milan 24th Jan 2024 20:38

Hi zwalec can you sent me the files. I Cant sent you a message because i dont have 3 posts or more
