Hi
i have the same question.
i hold Iranian passport , i have both CAA and EASA license and have uk settled status so I have the right to work in the uk .
i am just wondering if I can apply for Ryanair type rating program?

Anyone able to have a successful second chance recently? Far as I'm aware, they don't really give second chance unless the flight school you come from have a special relationship with the company or you provide a contribution to their MCC to buy a second chance. Maybe I'm wrong, I thought the market is much greener now than last few year. surely there are some reasonable options.

She replied: "Referring your question of when you can reapply, please note that 12 months period applies before next attempt." Once again it was Buzz, not the Ryanair.

Ryanair and buzz is the same thing. If you apply to AFA position you’ll get rejected straight away

pilot2021 8th Dec 2023 12:45

You cannot. You need to have EU passport for Ryanair DAC or Buzz or UK passport for Ryanair UK

pilot2021 8th Dec 2023 12:47

I failed 3 subjects and I fly for Ryanair. No one cares

nick1368 8th Dec 2023 13:26

Thanks for your reply .
Would you mind if I ask where did you get this information from and if you’re absolutely sure about it ?
on their website it says even people with uk pre settled status can apply , but I’m still not sure if they mean Europeans with uk pre settled status or anyone with uk pre settled status.
the thing is I will get a British passport in 2025 and I don’t want to apply with my Iranian passport and get rejected and not being able to apply again when I do get my British passport .
On the other hand if they accept applicants with pre settled status and right to work in the uk regardless of their passport then I would love to apply asap so I won’t have to wait until 2025 .

Is RYR actively recruiting directly from the AFA process or is it just a marketing stunt to pay for a 737 TR?

RYR is AFA. ‘Legally’ separate entities but the fact the RYR recruiters have direct access to the AFA ‘admin’ emails should tell you all you need to know.

Hi !
I wanted to share my experience with assessment. Ryanair ( BUZZ CADET) 16.11.2023
SIM First.
East Midlands SID 27 TNT 2N and ILS 27.
Initial climb 5000ft. Weather 300/10 8KM OVC0800 1013. Start in hands with A/T and FD to 5000. At 5000 A/T AND FD OFF. A few course changes. Climbing to 7000 with constant speed. Descent into the turn at 5000 with constant speed. Acceleration from 220 to 300 at the same altitute. Intercepting the Radial from TNT. Then information from ATC closed the area on our route. So PIOSEE or DODAR, or simply data analysis, conversation with the FO and making a decision directly in EAST MIDLANDS. ILS to 27, when visual approach LOC and GS OUT and landing on PAPI. Me and my colleague the same scenario. ( He had different decision making. Snow storm on destination airport.)
Total time in Sim 1h. Time of flying 20min.

Interviev.

Why ryanair?
When can I start and what is my notice period?
Do you have money for training?
Why a fleet of one type of aircraft?
Tell me something about yourself?
Why did you want to fly, have you flown before?
Have you had a difficult student (works as an instructor) and how did you deal with him?
Tell us about your previous jobs and your current one.
What engine in a Cessna?
How are the elevator rudders and ailerons connected in a Cessna?
When you turn with just the ailerons, the plane tends to...
If you want to make a turn using only the rudder, the plane...
During a turn, does the plane tilt or raise the nose?
Can a Cessna operate without a battery after starting (meaning the engine)
What is the name of the element that corresponds to this - Mangetos
Any questions?

Time - 25minutes.

Great atmosphere. The best recruitment I've ever been to. No stress, very pleasant and professional.
I got the job :)

Someone start at 05.02.2024? FR2417?
Regards!

AFA manages the recruitment on behalf of RYR so you are practically communicating with AFA and not the RYR recruiters. Same set up as when CAE used to do it on behalf of RYR

Because without a bond everyony is jumping ship and either going to the Middle East or elsewhere in the UK with better pay/conditions

You sound desperate

mrguy 13th Dec 2023 10:38

I've heard on the grapevine that a few UK licenced cadets have been taken on recently. Is there any truth in this?

Zwalec 13th Dec 2023 11:27

My PM is full because i cant have more than 3 messages. And I cant sent a link with materials because I dont have 8 posts ;)

Zwalec 13th Dec 2023 11:33

Just be relaxed. Be yourself, don't be shy talking with meeting leader. What I heared they need to like you and you need to show them that you are able to learn. So prepare yourself. You must know procedures with they sent to you.
