Yes it is. Try through the Menu pages on top. My application status still says "ongoing process"

You must have accidentally misinterpreted what I said. The advert is gone. I said nothing about the application in my profile.

Rumour has it that self funded type rating courses are fully booked till early next year. Probably no further recruitment in the next month or 2

Fulviante91 9th Aug 2016 15:06

A friend of mine receive the invitation to take the the online assessment a couple of days ago.So I don't really know , I'm still waiting an answer of the test, it's still showing ongoing process.

Can anyone advise what are the actual conditions with Norwegian with regard to new low hour pilots gaining employment with them?

*what are the most common bases being assigned to new pilots?

*Is the pay similar or dissimilar to Ryanair, and if so, what exactly is the pay and when does it begin?

*is it possible to gain command as with Ryanair within four or five years?

Accurate Information greatly appreciated, no speculation or guessing please.

Is Norwegian still hiring non-type rated guys for 737 (not self-sponsored)??

This ad is still on there website and reads, "OSM Aviation, on behalf of Norwegian, are now looking for experienced, Non Type Rated First Officers with jet relevant experience to operate on our short haul fleet in Europe." and says "apply within as soon as possible".

Anyone know anything with regards to this? Thanks in advance.

Spoke to a pilot in NAS

(Spoke to a pilot in NAS)

As I understood: Theyre keeping everyone (whos haven't received any negative response after online assessment) in the pilot pool. they are currently prioritising pilots with experience on type, but will "maybe" be recruiting more cadets in fall. (Sept-nov)

SpanWise 12th Aug 2016 11:08

Thanks so much for passing this info. There are guys who meet their "jet relevant" experience vacancy (but not much info on this forum about this).

I am curious if self-sponsored guys get preference over guys who are applying for the "jet-relevant experience" vacancy (presumably you dont have to pay on this one) - still being advertised on their site.

I can answer two of your questions:

Lot of Spanish bases, Madrid, Tenerife, Malaga, Alicante etc

Starting salary €3500 PM + €100 a day while training plus additional expenses.

Hope this helps?

Lokki 21st Sep 2016 15:26

do they have any bases in the UK?

MaverickPrime 21st Sep 2016 15:48

Yes LGW for the 737 and 787 I believe

After, i don't know how long, i did the online test, i got the following mail:

"Dear applicant,

We thank you for your application and would like to inform you that you are still in the process for the B737 NG Type Rating Course - Self Sponsored.

We are currently screening all the applications and candidates who are suitable will be contacted when interview dates are confirmed.

Due to a high volume of applications, please do not reply to this email.

Thank you for your patience and have a nice day!

Kind regards
Norwegian Recruitment Team"

JQKA 21st Sep 2016 18:43

lol....
I'm type rated and still current on 737 and received today an email inviting me to hurry up with the online test!
But this email isfor SS 737 TR!! doesn't make any sense to me.

Another Biggles 21st Sep 2016 19:53

Hey,

I applied ages ago (back in April I think), and I also just got the same email as JQKA. I'm modular without jet (or any) experience so in this case the email is relevant.

Perhaps they've just emailed everyone who initially applied and didn't yet receive an invite to the tests?

Let's hope there's a real opportunity that still exists! 😃

SeventhHeaven 21st Sep 2016 20:02

I wonder if there are people that didn't get that email, or were flatout rejected, after completing the online tests. Seems rather meaningless to be told you're still in the process if they never weeded out anyone in the first place!

NoNameJames 21st Sep 2016 22:39

They just had at least one date of CTC's placement pool cadets. The results were given to candidates on Monday and I think they were a lot tougher than originally thought.

spaflyer 22nd Sep 2016 07:44

I never got any mail back after tests, however queried them about it and that was the answer:

Unfortunately, we are not able to let you know at this stage the status of your application. You will soon hear from Norwegian or the agency we are using again with either invitation to the interview or a rejection email.

Good luck with your application!

That was 3-4 weeks ago.
