18 newly qualified BESTPILOTs to become Norwegian First Officers! - Kura Aviation

Being one of those 18 candidates I can not recommend KURA highly enough. I know a lot of people on here think that the £8.5k price tag is too expensive. All I can say is the training is absolutely superb (I was modularly trained through CAE OAA and there is no comparison.)

As well as Norwegian they have opportunities with BACF, Flybe and have airline visits from other big European airlines and more importantly, no matter what happens, KURA will support you and do what ever they have to do to get you to the standard required by the airlines. I think they have trained 66 pilots, got 64 of them airline interviews and have placed 59 of them.

For me, those statistics speak for themselves and if you want to improve your chances of getting that first job no matter what your background, I recommend getting in touch with them. They will only take your money if you have the aptitude and attitude to complete the course, which to me says a lot about the company itself and why they have such good placement rates :-)

kickofff, how much have you been offered to pay for the TR? Consider to apply for Kura later this year and wondering, if they have any discounted prices for TRs at their partner airlines, or if it's a standard 2x GBP figure. Just need to sum it up with their MCC/JOC £8.5k and compare with other options.

I'm going to contact them, just doing a quick research for now.

Thank you very much.

I believe it will be 23900 Euros, but in the contract they do mention a 18-19000 Euro option, completed solely in the sim. I don't start until October, so not 100% sure of the finer details at the moment. Let us know if I can help in any other way.

Hi!
Does anyone know how much time passes from the online assessment until you get the notification if you are invited for the next stage or not?

Loic 9th Jun 2016 08:14

Hi everyone,

I just get called for the assessment with Norwegian... Does anybody have a list of "usual questions" for the technical part of the assessment?

Many thanks if you can help!

captain.weird 9th Jun 2016 12:18

Hi Loic,

Did you undergo your training modular or integrated?

AMS 9th Jun 2016 12:37

Did you get called on the phone or via email?

Hopefully similar to the ones frequently asked for Ryanair assessment?!

slashhead 22nd Jun 2016 10:59

Haven't got an email nor a phone call yet, anyone else?

SRH 22nd Jun 2016 12:07

So if you have got an email you were unsuccesfull as it says this in the email: "Candidates who are not considered suitable for the position will receive written notification by letter or e-mail.". Otherwise you would have been called...so i smell little bs tbh

Smell the Coffee 28th Jun 2016 15:19

Anyone who has gone through the recruitment process know how long on average Norwegian take to get back to those who have completed the online tests?

Is it similar to Ryanair i.e. several months?
