Have a DEC interview shortly, and I'm not entirely sure what I should be basing my expected interview on.
I haven't flown the A320 for 3 years but I am being interviewed and sim-checked as "type rated"... Haven't looked at the books for a few years since I'm not on the Airbus any longer .... Has anyone else been a similar situation and may I ask what you got asked regarding technical on the aircraft during the interview?

Thanks ever so much. Yes I've downloaded a load of stuff from smart cockpit but just trying to get a general idea of technical which they tend to focus on.

So I had a phone interview, apparently they've been having people turn up to interviews with below required standard of English - they are now checking beforehand.

So if Gdansk is the highest paying base due to the large number of small sectors, which base has a majority of long flights? Would this mean more total days off per month?

Wroclaw does not have the highest number of sectors.

Longest flights probably in riga, vilnius and bucharest, but I dont think there are statistics about it.

I would say that even the current standard is well below acceptable standard for many in the company.

does anybody know wheter it is possible to fly part time for Wizz? Any chance for PZN base? (Type rated FO with 5.000+ hours)

POZ should be easy to get as F/O, not so as CA. It's a very good base. Part time - I doubt it.

So, I recently did the two day assessment in Budapest and was successful. I'll write about the day soon.

I've been offered Luton and just wondering if anyone could please give an estimate of the average number of sectors per month for an SFO there?

I'm just worried about the higher living costs in the UK compared to EEC.

Number of sectors is nearly the same as elswhere - around 28 I believe, but the thing is, for now, they pay double tax there - full UK (since it is Wizz Air UK) and full Swiss (since it is Wizz Air) income tax. I am sure it will be sorted sooner or later but it might take months. I heard there are those who currently pay nearly 70%...
I was considering moving to LTN myself but I will wait untill things are sorted out.

I am quite impressed that you were offered LTN because it is only 1 AC over there and the base if full, plus there are plenty of people on the waiting list for the next 2 AC. On the other hand, Wizz is desperate for people so they might put you in front of the queue.

Ask around during your line training and decide then if you do not like LTN. When it comes to an end you can be assigned any avaliable base you prefer.

I personally didn't want to be in the UK and prefer EEC so was able to be reallocated to Bucharest OTP.

My question now is, does the local contract or Confair contract net the most money at the end of it all?

I got an email from Wizz for scheduling a phone interview. Could you tell me what kind of questions are they gonna ask me? How was the 2 day assessment?

According to latest PJN update,the net FO salary is 37100 euros which is roughly 3100 per month,not specifing if is for SFOs or FOs though.Is it a new paying policy :ugh: for both FO and SFO or im not that good at maths?

Still separate FO/SFO salary, the number above seems more appropriate for SFO, but it's too many variables to give one fixed figure (slight differences base to base, country to country; out of base flying, TR deduction or not, etc.)

For SFO specifically: 2100 gross base
+ 90 euros * ~17 flying days per month = 1530 gross
+ 45 euros * ~45 sectors per month = 2030 gross

The sum is around 5600 per month.If no TR deduction and PJN 3100 is true,it means the tax in EEC must around 50% which is huge.Unless i am missing something with life and loss of licence insurance cost. :8

Yeah, you miss the fact that you will never fly 45 sectors a month and 17 days a month, unless you want to run out of hours in october.
The average leg in my time in wizz was around 2,5 hours, you do the math.
And I dont remember the basic salary being more than 2000 eur, by the way.

As it was said already, the figures and pay structure change slightly from country to country, but dont expect anything close to the numbers you mention.
After the type deduction, on a local contract with 10% social security and little to nothing swiss income taxes you can expect as sfo a little less than 3000 a month.
At that point depending on your country of residence, your tax treaty and your lets say fiscal responsability, you might have to pay some income taxes there as well.

Airbuslover figures are more or less for SFO.
Dirk figures are 200 euros x month short now that they've increased a little bit the sector multiplier. Then, as dirk said, you have to consider countries taxation agreement if you are not local pilot.
