Hello guys

Just some quick questions

They state the price is 29,500€ + vat?
Can someone tell me what it is the total? :)

I can choose between some Type Rating courses in April or May, problem is my ME/IR will expire in April. Does it need to be current before starting TR course or are CAE/Ryanair okay with it has expired as it will be automatically renewed in the type rating?

Best regards

epp654 14th Feb 2016 16:12

If i was you i would wait for the info that CAE is about to send you and I d say them the issue.

Does anyone know the sequence of the paperwork etc upon receiving the CAE's info?

I am for CAE 1604 (there is a group on fb in case someone is enrolled to that course)

UAV689 14th Feb 2016 22:08

Course price is 29500. No vat if you get the sham irish ltd companies setup before you start. A valid meir i believe is required on the start date of your tr, but it can expire before your tr finishes. (I think)

Reveal1 14th Feb 2016 22:46

to start a TR Course you need your MEIR to be valid!

epp654 15th Feb 2016 05:06

I'd feel more comfortable to have a valid ME/IR until the TR finishes though...

Does anyone knows the proccess of the setup of the Irish LTD?

Hangar 2

I received an invitation for the 25th. The Location is Hangar 2, anybody been there before? My Mates all were assessed at simtech.

FWIflyer 15th Feb 2016 06:33

Man ! Don't get so stressed !!!!

You will receive all the details about the process by email. You don't have only a company to set up but a lot of other things (licence transfer, reference checking, etc...). You will receive ALL these information from Storm in due time. Your IR/ME has to be valid by the first day of your TR, that's all.

Hi guys I am gonna talk to you about my assesment feedback

It was hangar2 in Dublin
The simulator is Awesome, it is just a copy of a 737, a full copy I would say, the feedback from the control column is very good so dont worry about that
The SID was WAL2N of EMA, after departure the assesor gave us vectors and lead us to the Loc, at anytime he freezed the sim, and ask me where I was using the NDB and the ILS DME( I was PF first), the We did the ILS to RWY27 and finished, the as PM We had a fire in the toilet, so We discuss about it and We decided to turn around to EMA, We did the aproach and landing.
Dont worry ! The assesor was really helpful all the time, he help us with the thrust levers, gave us advaces etc... They are looking for someone trainable not for a top Gun Maverick.
Technical part was
V2, screen height, questions about seneca in my case, and B737 too.
Just keep calm, be yourself, and try to be relaxed, remeber that the only wanna see if you are gonna be able to pass a hard type rating. At anytime time They Will try to push you, the assesors were very kind and friendly people, They want that all of us pass the assesment.

Today I received possitive call, starting TR ok EMA on 18th april ( that what I asked for)

I wish you the best of the luck guys
Kind regards

Hi, I did not get any more info other than the text I copy-pasted here. My Training-request number is just above 3400 and I applied on December 2nd. 226 hrs, 27 years, valid ME/IR with MCC. Integrated course. I think it's totally random how the selection is done, as mentioned earlier in this thread. I guess we'll have to wait out and see. Good luck!

Assesment 11thFEB

Hey guys, I was attending an assesment in DUB hangar2 last week, here is my experience:

First, you get temporary ID, go through security to hangar and wait for one of the assesors in some kind of briefing room. Since he came, he perfectly set up calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. He took us through whole briefing package, explained everything and told us almost exactly what are we going to need to do, divided us to 2member crews (each crew contains one guy with MCC on 737 and second on another - if this is possible). There were 2 assesors, one took me and my mate to sim, second one took another crew to interview.

SIM is fixed FTD but perfectly realistic, almost brand new, great feedback from column and trim. I was PM, PF got just departure along SID, but almost immediatelly got vectors, then freeze and "point on chart where are you" - first PF, PM had to confirm. After this just vectors to ILS and landing. My PF stuff was pretty same, departure (WAL2N in EMA btw), vectors, then direct to NDB EME, freezed, "point where you are", then emergency (passenger chest pain) - show the best possible CRM, consider options with PM, decide, brief cabin crew and advise ATC - as I was right above RWY27, heading 094 and vectors were U/S, I made an alternative procedure stated on chart and which took me back to ILS and landing.

HR interview - tell us about yourself, why to hire you, why you want RYR, what do you know about us, your strengths/weaknesses, why not TVS airline in PRG, why is RYR priority?

Tech interview - how did you like your FTO, what is V2, how calculated, which speeds are also calculated from stall speed, your ME aircraft, its deice system, deice on 737, cons of swept wings, how is it compensated?

Just bring your best attitude, be talkative to them, show your enthusiasm to RYR and aviation generally, be well prepared for sim flight and dont forget to take some food&drink, almost no possibility to get anything there, some of guys stayed there from 9AM to 7PM.

In case of any questions, feel free to PM me.
Yesterday I've been accepted :)
