Asking again , Does anyone else starting the TR in EMA on the 10th of October ?

captainsuperstorm 22nd Jul 2011 21:54

pretty much it s your last chance to get hired, if you fail ryanair, you will probably never get a job.

spend 100'000euro for this, no much in your little brain of kido!:ugh:

this market became a joke! and some of you follow it like monkeys... sad world!:{

its a tough time if you have commitments like a mortgage etc and some guys are so broke its been known to find F/O's sleeping in there car in the airport car park! sad state of affairs for whats viewed from the outside as a golden career!
and in 4 years, captain will come to sleep with you!:}
they will probably ask you to pay for captaincy... come back in 3 years and you will see.this industry is dead, gangraine is everywhere. too late.:*

Good evening everyone!

I have a question and I hope any of you can help me, do you know if it is possible to be invited to the assessment for the second time or it is an utopy?

In some emails, they (CAE or OAA) ask you if this is your first application, but I am not sure if they want only first applicants or maybe you can get a second chance years later.

Thanks a lot

Anybody attending the Assessment on the 27th July?

Shrimps 24th Jul 2011 19:00

I don't think so; I was originally rejected in July 2008 and reapplied via CAE earlier this year. I got an email asking me for further information, including whether I'd applied before, and since then haven't heard anything - so I'm assuming the policy is still no re-applications.

cpumad 25th Jul 2011 11:39

Re-application seems to be fine after 6 months. I originally applied in Sept '10. Got rejected before interview

Similar CV 6-months later, got invited. No idea why...

don_salvatore87 25th Jul 2011 15:08

But as you got rejected before the interview, what if you fail the interview and then re-apply?

madex 25th Jul 2011 17:00

@denik89 I have the same date than you

Shrimps 25th Jul 2011 19:04

But as you got rejected before the interview, what if you fail the interview and then re-apply?
Should have said - that is my situation. Rejected after the interview day, and from speaking to various people within the company it would appear to be the policy still.

@madex

hey this is great!! where is your B&B/Hotel??

p.s.
Caroline from Cae? lol

How much warning of simulator assessment?

Is the amount of warning that RYR candidates are given (between being called for sim assessment and the assessment taking place) reducing?

It's often been severl weeks (or more) ahead, but I've been hearing reports of it being as little as 48hrs recently.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

sellect 26th Jul 2011 15:36

It's random really. Last year I got 48 hours. Some of my friends got two weeks. It isn't too difficult, so two days should be enough, if you know your basic stuff, and do not need extra sim training etc.

denik89 27th Jul 2011 09:46

10 days..:-)

lespaul06 27th Jul 2011 16:31

6 days for me ! 3 weeks for some other guys who were at the same assesment .. :bored:

dondino 27th Jul 2011 21:45

hi guys,
first of all i've received the confermation fro OAA more than 4 weeks before...
a part that i had my interview 2 days ago...basically they concentrate the interview on the personal ( the same stuff as always:why ryanair, how did you get into flyng, how is gonna pay your TRecc ecc) and the tecnical was pretty relaxed (they asked me few mass and balance questions) the sim assesment was pretty easy...took off from rwy 27 in liverpool, wlc 2t dep and once over the vor some aerial jobs to see the basic ifr, than the procedure for an ils ndb n the same rwy....
it was good and pretty easy as well....
just a note...the hr guy seems to be a fun guy...he cames with few jokes ecc but once inside the room he resulted as a bored guy and he seems to be pretty faraway from the room inside his mind, the aer lingus captain were very gentle....on of those as the hr guy seems to be a funny guy...but he gave me the sensation of an asshole...where as the otherone was really a nice guy outside the assesment and inside as well....
hope to be usefull as i can....if you need further information do not hesitate to contact me!
hope all the best to everyone is going to fr selection in next weeks!!
cheers:ok:

lespaul06 27th Jul 2011 22:19

I had honnestly exactly the same feeling after the assesment . The assessors were so neutral that no one could affirm if he is hired or not , even if you think the assessment was good for you ( As I thought and actually that was confirmed few days later ) .
This description is very similar to my personnal interview , same HR questions , same rwy 27 in liverpool , same SID , same app ....
I hope it will help someone . :)

To Dondino

Hi there,
what kind of mass and balance questions?
Any differences between your flying and monitoring part at the sim?

liveview 28th Jul 2011 09:44

Which is the best accountancy firm to choose??? I am starting in a month and I have no idea.

Any info??

Best regards

flyvirgin 28th Jul 2011 17:37

At the moment we are not putting reapplicants through for a second assessment.

Thanks for your continued interest in Ryanair and good luck in the future.

Kind regards,

An email I got a few weeks ago! :ugh:

dondino 28th Jul 2011 21:16

well i've been asked about mass and balance as im working as a weight and balance perator so they've been asked about my experience...so i pretty sure they would the same to everybody that have any expeirence related to the aviation world....about the sim...we have done the same things me and my flight mate....no emergency standard calls out...as always...
ill be true if you look back on this thread you can find everything that you need for the interview!:E
