Good morning,
Same thing happened to me.
Yesterday done my assessments and got below average on Numerical&Verbal Reasoning and average on my Logical Reasoning. This morning got an invite to the digital interview...after 30 min got another email from TUI saying that I was rejected. After checking my portal I still have the Digital interview option available so I decided I'll just try my luck and go for it.
Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone,
Late to the party...
I have done the digital interview (which I think went okay!), but am a little worried about my background. I think for anything else I have a pretty strong profile (oxford degree (in social sciences subject), working in management consulting), however I only came to the definitive conclusion I wanted to be a professional pilot after I graduated.
Whilst I grew up with a pilot dad, and have always loved aviation, I'm worried my motivations aren't as self evident as someone who knew this was the path they wanted to follow from day dot, and studied aerospace and did RAF cadets for 5 years etc etc. I think being part of the world of aviation was so ambient growing up I didnt realise how passionate I was about it until I wasn't flying around on jumpseats every couple months anymore haha.
Do you think I have any chance? I have done a couple flying lessons, and am looking to do some gliding more regularly in the spring, but im worried this wont be enough. Do you think TUI may appreciate the transferrable skills? Fingers crossed they do!
Best of luck to everyone else still in process

Interview wise - it wasn't challenging, no. You could probably guess at the questions if you thought about it for long enough, certainly for 2 or 3 of them anwyay. The challenging bit was the time - no re-recording answers this year - so make use of the practice time to get your answers down on paper (key points) or rehearse what you're going to say.

Short answer - sure, why not.
I work a corporate gig too, and other than a few hours in a Cessna, you'd be forgiven for thinking I have a passion for telecoms instead as that's all I've known. Although my wife will tell you all the flight sim crap on my desk at home is a dead give away.
The skills we learn in those roles are definitely transferrable - look up the key pilot competencies and you'll realise just how much overlap there is. Team work, situational awareness, communication, management, working under stress (albeit not life threatening)...
The answer I and others, actually, want to give is - no, no chance, save yourself the effort and don't bother (But that's just to save us the competition ).

Hi everyone,
I've just done my digital interview..I'm not sure if will count or not because after getting 2 x below average & 1 x average on my assessments I received two emails from TUI, first one saying I'm invited to the digital interview and second one saying that I've been rejected. So I decided to go for it anyway and try my luck...at least I'll know what this digital interview is all about.
To share my experience I would say don't worry to much, just be yourself and be honest. Questions are easy and you have 2 minutes before each question to think about your answer.
Good luck to everyone!

I submitted my application last night around 8 pm but I haven't received any email back yet. Would it be advised to email them if I haven't received an email by the end of the day?

Congrats to everyone who has progressed! I received the dreaded rejection email this morning. Above average in maths & numerical, and average in logical. Got the the assessment day last year so down to the last 150 people, I was told in the feedback that I was very close to being selected for the sim session. Rejected at the tests this year which is quite frustrating with same scores…Onwards to BA! Good luck to everyone in the next stage!!

2 above average in logical and numerical too- invited to digital assessment, if you didn't get invited check your junk (mine was hiding there and took ages to come in) and if you got below average scores, I've heard people have got interviews even- I think just email them, they're pretty quick to reply as well tbh, took an absolute age with this process, there must be some tech issues going for sure because it was so slow, it was more stressful than the tests ngl

I had the same thing. I did not pass the inital test but received this morning an invite for the digita interview.
Working in tech, I had a suspicion that something must be wrong and I emailed support.
TUI's support confirmed that the system they are using had an update, causing an issue where it progesses some ( cannot confirm if all ) candidates to the next stage, without checking their status. Thats all I know and hope it helps!
Makes me wonder tho if there could have been an issue with the test system. I know it is not related to this but that thought has slipped my mind.

Hey, I passed my tests with above average in all 3 and completed my video interview yesterday.
I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything back after completing the video interview yet?

Just wondering what they will be trying to get from the sim assessment, given you could have 0 experience flying. Im guessing to see how well you learn, take instruction etc it cant possibly be a test of skill?

Finally had the confirmation that it was indeed a system error to send me to the next stage! Would’ve been nice to quickly see the virtual interview questions in case they’re similar for next years application.
I know it wasn’t directly Tuis fault, rather the 3rd party company they use to conduct the initial assessment but it does bring into question the reliability of this type of system and whether or not the rejections/passes could be deemed as unsafe given the number of things that have gone wrong already.
Good Luck to everyone who made it through to the virtual interview and to everyone who progresses thereafter!

I got above average in all tests and automatically got an interview invite!
After contacting TUI, they said anyone who received a rejection email but could still do the interview will be automatically rejected as the interview offer was an error! Sorry to disapoint anyone who got a rejection and an invite!
Good luck everyone else!

I got above avgx2, avg logical, and immediately got the digital interview. I did this and got the email confirming receipt of the interview. Given most people with these scores got rejected, do you think I got the interview in error? Or is it an avg score taken across the 3 (as I found the numeracy and literacy relatively easy, completed in <10mins)? Im trying to understand why I would have gotten through, as I'm bugging myself out thinking I may have received the interview due to system error. TIA!

I got above average on all tests and got the interview invite immediately.
Having done the interview it wasn’t that bad but just practice talking to a camera as you only have 2 mins to prepare.
I have also contacted recruitment, unfortunately for those who received a rejection email and an interview invite. It was an error and your application will be rejected when reviewed by recruiters.
good luck everyone!

Just got an email from TUI. Turns out there was an issue with their systems and some people were incorrectly progressed to the next stage. If you've done the digital interview, it will not be checked. It also disappeared from my dashboard

I completed mine a few days ago and haven't heard back yet. Given what happened last year, it might be towards March time that we hear back. I do remember seeing somewhere though that someone had said they got a rejection a couple of days after their digital interview, so I imagine they are working through them steadily.
