Anyone did their assessments today like to share how it went? Curious to know what it was like.

Can I ask, those that got through to the afternoon stage in Dublin, what sort of time did it all finish by? (I’m looking at booking my return flight back home to BHX same day as my assessment)

In the intro presentation candidates were told to be ready for as long of a day as needed, all depends on the results from group task and
1-1 intervew. I would like to think if you were to book anything after 1900 would be safe enough.

To those who are "curious" and "intrigued", let's face it you're not curious, you're asking for an advantage of preparedness which nobody is going to want to give you and which everyone is explicitly told at the assessment not to do for that exact reason

Word. Probably one of the lads that didn't make the cut for the afternoon interview lol. Asking if someone would like to share weather they found it rather tough and generally how they found it isn't "getting advantage of preparedness", After all it's not about competing with other applicants its about individually meeting the requirements they have when it comes to grading.

They don’t have a single Boeing in their fleet. And no future plans to replace any on the Airbus aircrafts.. doesn’t really make sense to ask questions about the 737

I actually did make the afternoon, thanks. Sorry if I misunderstood what you were looking for, in that case to answer your question I actually really enjoyed the day! But I have to disagree with you about your last sentence - the captain himself who's running the assessment days said that lots of people who are brilliant and meet all the requirements won't be picked, just purely because the competition is so high and you have to be "very lucky as well as brilliant" to make it. So I have to disagree and say we are very much competing with one another.
And on that note in response to another comment above - nobody has got the final "yes" yet, nor will they for at least 3 weeks I'd say. Aer Lingus are doing this fairly and reviewing all candidates together at the end. I say fairly, this will probably give a tiny advantage to those in the last week because they will be best remembered, but there is no way to do this process 100% fairly - as the captain said there is luck involved!

I was joking about the 737 questions, of course.

Did anyone submit proof of their degree? Was a copy of the parchment acceptable?

Well all the best of luck to you then. Same thing could be said for those who got assessed in the first week. They could've already decided on who to take from the first week making the last week even more competitive. Also are they really getting people to retake physcometric assessments? If so is it all of them that we did already or what?

“Randomly” selecting those who have to retake the aptitude tests. Whether it is truly random or not though..

But they're not deciding who to take already. That would be stupid and wasted time for them. They're waiting until the week after all of the assessment centres and then they'll go through everyone's file and pick the cadets.
And yes they really are getting people to retake

I assume I don’t need to take my laptop with me, and they supply equipment to retake the cut-e tests on? Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I’ve been selected for the group assessment for the Aer Lingus Pilot Programme, I arrived in Dublin yesterday and it's my first time here and I don't know the city very well. If someone would like to show me around the city, let me know. I am invited to the group assessment on Thursday 5th.

thank you for the possible answers.

Now that two weeks of the assessments are nearly done, interested to know how people think they did? Obviously can't tell with these things but are people happy with their performance and hopeful to hear back or do you feel things didn't go so well for you?
