I did modular training so my flying school (it was actually a club even for CPL IR/ME) is different than the one where I did my distance ATPL, I think I'll have a hard time getting a flight school report from them maybe I should write it for them and have them just sign the thing if they agree. I also have yet to find 2 recommendations letters, did you guys had a hard time getting those documents ? The report have to be pretty detailed, and my last test is already 2 years old, shcool probably don't remember much about me.

I failed around 2 years ago but heard nothing sadly, been keeping my profile updated since. They called many for reassessment already within a year though. Would be nice to know on what basis they selected them by? Is it just luck or based on points scored in the simulator among the pilots that failed.

Ryanair assessment September23
Hello everyone
I recently attended and failed a Ryanair simulator assessment for the second time. After having done all the steps (both simulator, HR and technical interview) I felt like everything went smooth and I would finally have passed the assessment.
Yesterday I finally got an email from Afa saying that I did not pass the assessment.
Having in mind my own performance, I realized that my failure was probably due to the following mistakes: 1) as pilot monitoring I forgot to switch the Nav frequency during the SID of East Midlands and realized that mistakes after my PF has intercepted the radial. 2) During my ILS approach I went around because on final approach after decision altitude I had 3 white lights on PAPI just before TDZ.
My question is: do you think those kind of mistakes could be a reason for fail?
And also, would they like you to be perfect if it is your second attempt?

They aren't looking for perfection in the assessment, no one would pass otherwise. It could have been because of the things you think, it could also have been due to other things you don't realise.
A lot of it is luck as to which assessor you get as well.

Mistake 1, the PF would normally ask you to switch NAV frequency's, these things happen. Its how you both deal with the mistake.
Mistake 2, I would have thought you making a go around due to not being happy that you are stable would be the right decision, as a trainer I would be more concerned if you chose to carry on if you are unstable. Again its how you handle the go around and deal with it.
Of course these are my own views as a TRE, have you asked for feedback where you went wrong?
Sorry I cannot help more
