Self funding pilot programmes

Hello, I'm looking to apply for the British Airways future pilot programme however, it's fully self-funded. It's costs 125,000 so where do I get that money from? I've heard something about them sponsoring you but I can't find anything online. Please help

In your day to day living where do you normally get money from? You could try that same source.

If you're struggling to figure it out here's a few ideas:
1) Save
2) Sell or remortgage a property
3) Ask family and/or friends
4) Set up a gofundme page
5) Win the lottery
6) Rob a bank
7) Marry someone rich
8) Con an eldery out of their pension
9) Jump in your DeLorean, go back in time and put 25 on Leicester to win the Premier League @ 5000/1
10) Plant a money tree
11) Go on Dragons Den
These are all ways to raise the required 125000, some more legit than others.

If all else fails you could go down the modular route for ~40000...

Future Pilot Programme doesn't exist anymore, it's now the "Cadet Pilot Programme" which changed a lot from FPP including the addition of MPL.
When they changed the scheme they decided not to sponsor cadets currently. It's either pay up or look elsewhere. Fair? No. But that's the industry you're looking at joining I'm afraid. A lot of us like you are in the same boat and are having to reconsider our career options and how we get there!

Apply for some flying scholarships instead, it might only get you a few hours under your belt and a solo flight in a Cessna or even better in a Glider (BA are a big believer in the skills gliding teaches). But it sure is fun and it'll stand you out from the crowd if you come to apply for a scheme.

Best of luck.

This is not the future pilot programme as it was in its original form some years ago. Be under no illusion, the L3 'bond' is not a bond, they simply reduce your starting salary by the amount of the bond and BA pay that amount to you tax free to make up for your lower salary. The only fully funded programme in the British Isles I am aware of is Aer Lingus.

If you haven't got 125,000 I would advise you to go down the modular route which can be done for 40-50k as already mentioned. Get a job elsewhere and then apply to BA as a direct entry pilot if that's your ultimate goal.
