Hi guys, i have a question and hope that someone can explain me,
Who need to pay CTC wings selection fee of 210 pounds?
I submitted application and i found this:
"We do not think it’s fair to ask only the successful ones to have to pay for all those that apply, so we ask everyone to contribute. We therefore charge you £210 inclusive of VAT to cover the cost of some industry-standard assessment tests"
It's crazy to pay something if i do not pass for example...
Also is there any option to revoke application from CTC

All,
First of all I wish the best of luck to all who were chosen and courage to reapply those who were not.
Secondly, I need your assistance
. I was not able to apply in April due to personal issues. Now as you are all aware there is another chance to reapply. I took my chance and I was chosen from the selection phase and they invited me for the one day event this coming Monday.
Unfortunately, I cannot make on such a short notice due to present work commitments. Does anyone knows if there will be another event or it is only one day, one chance.
Would appreciate your feedback?
Cheers

License type
Does anyone know, upon completion of 1500 hours who is the issuing authority for the ATPL? Will it be Qatar issued one? If it is, does anyone know if how difficult it is to convert to a EASA license and how much it would cost?

Hi all,
Ivansf: yeah I know, its crazy to pay for your selection isn't it. I mean, they want how much, like £210? That's ridiculous. I'm happy with the c.£100k cost of the course but if they're going to charge a couple of quid for selection i don't think I'm going to do it. Especially if I don't pass! I only pay for things I pass! Who do they think we are hey? I'm not going to fall for that! And unfortunately there is no option to revoke your application from CTC, they're so sneaky aren't they! When you submitted it you unconditionally signed your life over to them, I'm afraid your destiny is in their hands now. Good luck!
Ambitious Korean: I had a quick look and at first I thought you were in luck. However when I looked closer, I'm afraid the last day is 25 October 2017. I was also hoping to maintain long and long but unfortunately sometimes these things just don't work out do they. Never mind.

CTC Selection
I've just decided to try and follow the dream. I have been reading this forum for a while and it is sooo helpful!
I have just passed the first Qatar selection process which was basically entering my credentials. I have just received and e-mail outlining phase 1 and 2.....
'Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the Qatar Wings selection process is a one day event, which has been divided into a morning assessment centre and an afternoon interview.
The morning session consists of a presentation by CTC providing further detail on the programme, followed by a question and answer session. You will then be asked to complete a set of computer based aptitude tests designed to predict your ability to learn to fly and you will undertake a numeracy test. In order to assess your interpersonal and team working skills there are also group activities.'
In addition....
'In preparation for interviews, please complete and return, by email to [email protected], the questions that are attached to this email. Please ensure that they are completed and emailed at least one week before your assessment date. You will not be able to attend if these have not been completed.'
Has anyone on here done this before? I was wondering if I could get some advice, i'm quite apprehensive about the computer aptitude test, does anyone know what it entails?

Im doing a re-take on the 27th October. Just need to re-do the Pilapt and interview. Passed the group exercise.
Hopefully i'll have prepared enough for it this time. Anyone know whether the Pilapt actually includes the maths or whether it doesnt? From what I remember, it did, but this could have easily changed.
Liveforthesky, if you want a few tips, i can provide you with some, although I did it last April.
Thanks

Hey Guys,
I've been passed through the Qatar phase 2 at Diben.
My question would be around the interview itself I guess.. Is it more around competencies or around Qatar as the business itself.. As how i'm seeing it, the final phase is the Qatar specific questions.
Thanks for the tips.
George.

I have a mate who is considering this route into flying. He has family in that region of the world and he speaks the local language despite growing up here in the UK. He will most likely apply soon.
Are there any examples of graduates of this scheme and how they made out post training? How do they like their first aircraft assignment (A320?) on the line? How do they like Doha and their first living quarters? Does it meet their initial expectations? Are any initially placed as SICs on Widebodies?
Appreciate any feedback or links to this type of post-training information.
Cheers

You'll be hard pressed to find any of that info here Iver, most on the scheme (and haven't experienced what you would like to know) are busy studying and as far as I'm aware 18 months haven't yet passed since the scheme opened (may 2013 I believe) so no one would be able to answer your questions about the qr wings programme in its entirety just yet !

Hi,
Would anyone be able to tell that where can I find CTC's Payment Protection Terms & Conditions? Also If someone could tell what are the minimum requirements one is expected to meet during mpl training to get to fly with Qatar airways at the end of the training?
Thanks.

Hello to all those people like me who previously trawled this page looking for help! I know you're hiding out there.
Just a bit of insider info for those interested in this program.
Most information regarding this course is on the CTC website so stop posting about it a start looking!
Ground school is tough...duh.
Everyone at ctc is helpful and professional.
The first course are just coming up for their final sim checks before heading to Doha and are loving the program.
There are currently around 50 guys and girls at ctc on the course but have a look at how many aircraft qatar have on order and do the maths before you get worried about there being no jobs left.
The only other thing I can say about the course so far is to just go for it! I can promise you will not regret it.
If anyone has any questions regarding the course/selection feel free to give me a shout.
Best of luck.
