Visa

Does anyone who has been invited to 31st August need a visa with sponsor in UAE?
I worried that they won't be able to make it for me in one week and I have to go to Abu Dhabi in November

Can EYZ please shed some light on this? (the guarantee section (b) has since been removed from the webpage.)

Participation in the cadet pilot programme is subject to (a) ability to obtain all required security clearances and medical approvals from the GCAA or other relevant authorities as may be required from time to time by the company and (b) furnishing of appropriate guarantee acceptable to the company and such guarantee remain
Would successful cadets have to furnish AED 500,000 guarantee? If so, how are some of us (19-26 year olds) going to make this possible? Bond the family home?

joniss, I'm not sure, but wouldn't a passport be sufficient?

Goodluck to everyone attending the NYC assessment today.

At the EU selection we wer told that they will require someone whether it be a family member, friend or bank to sign a gurantor form so that if you drop out or fail due to being a lazy so and so they will pay your course fees for you.

You don't physically hand over any money.

Hi Guys

Going nuts here, still dont know what sort of email i got from Etihad, their emails go to my office email, which im away until tues and my external access is down

What exactly did the email say?

Did it say weather you were going next week, apologise if you couldnt have August and to hold out till nov etc?

Anyone get an email saying no?

Anyone who got a maybe email after LHR/FRA get told a definite No?

Anyone "maybe" not hear at all?

Im just anxious to know so i can mentally prep for myself for what might greet me in the office on Tues
Firstly it said congratulations on making it past stage 1 then invited you to stages 2/3 being conducted at the same time in AD.

You basically had to reply by today to say you would be willing to come in August - if you didn't reply they assume you want to come out in November and you will be invited back then.

5000,000 Aed

My 500,000 AED is ready...but I need a guaranteed JOB...thats one of the reasons I've freezed my flight training (Save money then start a GOOD start)...I think Etihad is planning for a change in PLANS!!!

I also think JFK assessments had ended right now (16 30 GMT) or a little bit earlier. where are you...ppl of NY???

WOOO!

The assessment @ JFK ended just an hour back. It was a great experience. The assessors are most friendly! They do an excellent job at doing what you need most at that time, which is: RELAX. The captain even had some good music playing during the breaks!

The assessment only makes you realize even more how much you want to be on the Etihad team, and not any other airline.

Anywhoo, gots to go check out NYC!

Peace, and good-luck to all those with assessments coming up in the near future!

S Khan

AD August Stage

Hi Guys - I received the email from Etihad on the 7th August saying "maybe" and I replied that I would like to come to AD this August. However, unfortunately I haven't heard anything from them ... just wondering if anyone else also requested August without hearing back yet?

We were told NOT to mention anything about the test by the proctors. If we do, they have the contacts to find out who you are and you would be disqualified!

Test was not all that difficult. Just relax and manage your time.

Cheers all

What happens if you pass the first stage of the assessment?

Do they invite you to AD for an interview, do they have the interviews in your own country?

I can't wait long, as i have 2 weeks before i finish my CPL, but i will hold off till the assessment.

forssi,

I believe that you will be invited to attend stage 2/3 in AD should you be successful in the first stage.

787_101,

AFAIK the status has no bearing on your application.
