Hi guys, congrats on getting through to phase 4. I have my assessment day next week - so nervous now!! Any tips or pointers about the day? How were the tests and the interview?
I hope I've learnt enough, this is only my second interview ever for a job!

Hello Rob,
I must recommend the Premier Travel Inn in Nursling (Southampton North). There's a very nice restraurant next door, the staff are extremely helpful (they bent hand-over-foot to get me breakfast at 5:30am for my early start!), the beds are very comfy and it's about 5 minutes away by taxi from CTC. They even kept my shaver, which I stupidly left in the bathroom, behind reception for me to pick up when I went for my interview with the bank.
I used Radio Taxis 02380 666 666 for my journey to CTC from the hotel - big company, 24 hour service and easy to get hold of. All of the other taxi companies which show on Google either didn't answer their phones or the phones would not connect, so I'd recommend that you make a note of that number.
Whatever you do, don't go for the Travelodge nearby. I made that mistake on my first Stage 4 attempt and to get to CTC the driver had to go the wrong way on the motorway because of the way the hotel was placed on the road, adding a healthy £25 taxi bill to my already rapidly-depleting wallet!

Hello,
I've also got Phase 4 on the 4th, early doors. Staying in permier inn southampton north as bonalste recommended. Another guy Chris staying here as well. Looking forward to it - final hurdle other than the finances should I get through!

You leave a couple of days before the month starts, so technically you're leaving in November, but it will be the 30th/31st.
I depart on October 29th for CP67 starting in Nov

Are CTC still open for applications and do you think they are a safe bet for getting you a job at the end of it all considering current climate? Thought you guys might be in the know and have some opinions. Thanks in advance!

Good luck with tests and training at CTC.
Its a very different kind of mentality there, especially some people who still has not learned how to teach in a logical manner... But hey- have fun!!

Stage 2/3 7th October
Hi all,
I've bitten the bullet, I've applied, I've got my stage 2/3 day on the 7th October, and I've just sent off the answers to the questions. Is anyone else going to Dibden on the 7th? And if so, where are you staying?
Also, if anyone has any advice about where to stay/not to stay in addition to what's already been mentioned on this and the other thread, that'd be appreciated!
