I am asking on behalf of a friend of mine who is not internet savy.
He has an interview soon for a command slot on the 145 and has been told he will have to do a "questionaire" (their words seemingly), can anyone shed light on what this test is all about? To me it seems odd calling it a questionaire.
Thanks in advance and I will pass your views on.

it's just as clipperpan states a few comments ago.
I ' ve got the sim in a few weeks and was wondering if there were any bmi regional crew that might shed some light on working conditions, particularly views from first officers please.
Also how long did basic training and line flying take ?
what are the actual wages during this period?
At what point did bmi tell new recruit where they would be based ?
Generally how the experience of starting with bmi went ?
I realise all this info. is available at BMI HR, but would value any other opions please.

Conditions in general are good, depends on which base you get as to the variety and quality of life you get. Things are quite busy at the moment so probably flying five days a week a mix of earlies and lates.
I don't have anything to compare it to except not having a job and I know which one of those I prefer.
Money under training i think is around 25K, expect 3 weeks for ground school, 2 weeks for sim, another 1-2 weeks to get your circuits out the way and then at least 4 weeks line training.
good luck

-What a red flashing lights from the tower to an aircraft taxing mean
-What mean that (R28 12V16)
-The PA of an aerodrome is... your QNH... what altitude you read in the altimeter

BMI Regional
Hello All
Anyone got any idea if BMI Regional is hiring now or in the near future ?
Also if you have been through the interview process with this company could tell me what to expect.
If there is anyone currently working with them, it would be great to hear what you think of the company.
Thanks in advance
Roja

They have just taken a huge batch of guys on.
A friend of mine is in that batch and he is very impressed by their professionalism.
Don't know if they'll be hiring again.
There are lot's of other opportunities out there at the moment, but if your really want to fly an ERJ then I'd be quick getting your application in as their holding pool is most likely very empty.
I do know that they had problems recruiting low time first time pilots so their recent hiring was 1000 hrs plus with Multi_Engine time, but there are lots of other things about if you don't already have a job.

FlyingRat:
Think you may be getting confused with Mainline who have shown some interest in self funded Airbus ratings at GECAT. As far as I know - there is no Barbie Jet sim at GECAT.
They're hiring Pilots from GECAT who are self-funding typre ratings.

BMI regional said at the BALPA conference a few months ago said they would only consider people with min 500 hours. Not sure if they have changed the goalposts since to suit prevailing job conditions or not...
