I agree with you Rachel but since you have all the flights and hotel booked why dont u go and see what the real story is... nobody has said anything today and maybe tomorrow when we post our experience is too late for you. I know could be a waste of time and money but I thinks its worth trying. Im going to try and see...if they offer me a position and Im interested Ill go to JED or anywhere in the world

I thought of just going anyway but now im thinkn of changing my flight to another day when i can go and take a friend with me and just enjoy london for the day. As for the hotel....its a loss, but i got a good rate anyway so its not too bad.

I think it all just seems a bit weird. We were advised to research the company befor the interview, this is impossible when there ''site is under construction''. They give us no solid information on what the contract entails so dont think I will bother going tomorrow either.
The money is shocking that they are offering to live in JED for 3 months!!!
Guys, where, where are the people that had the interview today? Any info of experience today would be fab??

Evil aviation
The best thing to do is just to stay away from those evil people, dishonnest and very infamous in France.they should be black listed.
I used to be on of their flying slaves long time ago.
Good luck.

i did the interview yesterday, rachel.
Unfortunately, I forgot to ask all those essential questions (shame on me), like the actual base (but i think a guy had asked and they answered that the first 3 months could only be JED - or sth like that).
Salary : i never thought of asking whether, when in JED, we would receive per diems or not (shame on me AGAIN).
I hope some1 today will have been more intelligent and concentrated than me yesterday (i had had a night flight, came back home around 1 AM and had to wake up at 5 to catch a train to go to the UK).... was a very short night.
Anyway, got a call today from Wynnwith : i have been succesful. They'll call me back next week with more details. I have insisted on the fact that i was hoping / expecting more info on those relevant issues for when they call me back.
Wait and see.
Btw, weren't u supposed to go to London today ? Did u finally give up ?

Hi gear,
congrats on being successful Are you going to accept or are you still thinking about it depending on more details? I didnt go to london. I do not want to spend 3 months in a compound in JED for the money they are offering so I thought about going just to ask more questions and then decided it would be a waste of time and money. The advertisement on aviationjobsearch says location: France which is what attracted me...if it had said JED I wouldnt have paid any attention to it. Shame but I think it was the right decision for me.

Thank you rachel.
I'm waiting for more details before i accept or refuse it. If per diems are paid in JED as well, salary may become interesting (remember in JED, it's a compound, so i suppose there is a washing machine and a kitchen in the appartment which is quite different from living in a hotel).
I still need to find out whether i'm ready to go so far from home for such a long time...
I'll know more next week.

hi,
well,if they dont pay per diams while out in any base its not good at all,you will be out of home and poor.and many times when out all we have to don when not flying is to go shop, and without meal allowances, laundry, per diams,it may turn out not worth the sacrifice.

Hi guys!!!
I had the interview today and didnt go very well.... theyll tell me tomorrow if im successful or not but I think i wont be. Also they told me its 3months on 1 week off so im not really bother if im not successful... even if i pass i dont think il take it... 3 months working in JED living in a compound is not worth that money.

eagle really should know that what they are offering is ridiculous! they must begin to wonder why so many people pulled out of interview and surely quite a few are going to turn down the job too! i hope they cop on to themselves!

Sorry to defend Wynnwith, but to offer 15 days on 8 off then change to 3 months at base and 8 days off implies they don't have any control of the contract. Now I know some will say that they should know what they are offering before they offer it. But that requires people who know the flying game. To try to base people in a non name base is crazy is it not, because if its like jail, some will not go or not turn up, its that simple. No crews no flights, no flight no money, and as if by magic no Jobs for anyone.
If on the other hand they really don't know, then the paymasters are hoping they can get enough crew on no info, too really take the (can't remember the word in english). You get my point.

Hi people.
I insisted in some more information, and what I got is the following:
-The airline existed before, but went down, and a large group, including Arabs, bought Eagle, making it Eagle Aviation Europe. There is a lot of money going in to the airline.
-They are just focusing on ACMI/Wet Lease, meaning they will fly for other airlines when needed. They actually have 1 B747, 1 B757, 1 B767. Another 2 will come this year, and over the past year even more.
-Initialy, they have a contract with an airline, I assume, based in JED to do the Haj flights, carrying people to JED for pilgrims in Mecca.
-Crew will be based in JED, in a luxurious compound, where you will share your house with other colleagues, where there are faciliteis like kitchen, washing, etc. It's a guarded compound, where you should have a swimming pool and tennis court.
-If you stay a night out of JED, they didn't tell me if there would be nighstops, or if the flights are there and back, but if you stay the night out of JED, you receive €50 for the stopover. For each flight you do £25 flight payment.
-While you're in JED in the compound, you wil NOT receive any perdiems, meaning that you will have to buy food from the supermarket with your basic salary.
-By the way.. imagine that you do a night-stop somewhere in Africa, where you have no good facilities to go out and eat in restaurants.. The hotels in those countries are normaly quite expensive to eat. So if you're not able to leave the hotel, due to poor facilities or security, you won't be able to leave the hotel and eat where you like. €50 to eat in the hotel a day long, don't seem a lot.
-I believe in future the might have other bases, but at present only JED
-The Medical certificate, who doesn't have a recent one, should get one, they didn't mention that they will pay for it.
People who were successful: I think when they call you for the contract, we should all, say something like: I only accept the contract if the perdiems are in JED as well. Meaning: 1 month (30 days) X €50.00.
If everyone puts conditions on their contract, or say NO, they will have to change their own conditions.
Good luck everyone, and keep writing inb this blog, whatever you hear, or if they call you...

Good info..... so basically we'll have to live with 1300€ in JED and 25€ a flight (even for longer flights) is not going to be enough..... Did u ask if during those 3 months 'on' we have any days off?????
