Hi Guys.
How are you?
People who went on interview on Monday 27th July, please post what they really offer:
-3 months on?
-which bases?
-Will you have hotel accommodation during those 3 months at base even if you're not flying/days off?
-Any chance, on your own costs, to go home on your days off?
-Do they pay any per diems, when you're at base in the hotel?
-Any laundry allowances?
-hotels, will there be meals included?
-Do they tell you what kind of flights they'll be doing and for who?
-Health insurance?
etc etc

Im at 6pm so I guess i'll see you there! I really hope there are either per diems at base as well as away or else meals included or meal allowances or something. Can you imagine the cost of eating out every day for 3 months and only getting per diems for nights away from base! I hope thats not the case, or it wouldnt really be worth it coz the salary isnt that great at all.

ANYONE WHO HAS MONDAY INTERVIEW... please please please post everything you can share with us when you get back from interview! Thanks

Well I hope so to as you would have very little money if they didnt! Not 100% if I will go yet, they dont seem to have much info about whats going on when I called them. Will wait and see what everyone has to say about it from todays interview but when I spoke the someoen on the phone this morning, she did say that she would find out today about the per dims.

well the spec says diems are E25 per flight and E50 with a stopover. so that sounds like only when stopping somewhere other than base. hmmmm.

Per diems are for food are they not? flight pay is per flight, or maybe hours flown?
I didn't think Saudi was a start up airline.
So where is your base (a place you can go home from) if your not at base you should be paid. I think its that simple.
What do the DGAC think? has anyone asked?
FTL must give you time off, unless you can go home you should be paid.

Any thoughts?

I think so to, and you only work 65 hours in a month so we would spend more money as would have the time off. You would end up with not alot of money if you were getting no meal allowances etc. More so if you are in a hotel ( and you will be if your placed anywhere except JED) as you have no cooking facilites.

I live in Scotland so really dont want to waist money coming down if its not worth it.

Hi Guys.

The interview is may be less what we really concerned about. Ok, you have to do it, because you don't know if you will pass or not.
But what I see from a lot of people here, is that everyone lives far from London, and want to make sure that they are not spending money on flying to London, hotels etc.. for the interview and than the conditions aren't as expecting.
So, if anyone else comes with more information, it would help a lot of people to decide if they want to go to the interview or not tomorrow, because if the conditions aren't what's expecting than people don't have to spend their time and money on going to the interview. If wynnwith would give more information it would help, but it looks like they don't know as well, or someone is hiding something.
In this century we always have to back up with everything.

So people, if you have been to the interview today, and you have some news, please let us all know, it will help your, may be, future colleagues.

ive booked flights and hotel but im beginning to think that i shouldnt bother with the interview. If the base is JED which it seems to be and we will be stuck in a compound most of our time since we will only work 65 hours, then i dont think the money is worth it at all!! For me, to go spend 3 months in JED hiding indoors (coz im so white and will burn! haha and i dont have much clothing suitable for a strict muslim culture either) that salary is not enough of an incentive. I think the whole lack of information and the ambiguity around the contract just cannot be a good thing. Just have a bad feeling altogether. Best of luck to those that go for it, but I think I'm out

Hi rachel.

Even though I'm a male, in Jeddah after a time it can be a little bit to much. And the problem is, if you imagine: you do the 65 hours in 2 weeks, then you will be off for 2 weeks. To come to europe it's going to be difficult, flying out there.
Someone said here, that you have to be open minded, as it's an ACMI operation. If worked 2 years for an ACMI airline, and the base was my home. The longest away would be a month or a little bit more, but you came home, where you can wash your clothes and make food yourself.
But when they say €50 per diem on stop over, what about when you stuck on your base in JED? You have to go out for lunch, dinner etc, and what about washing? All your basic salary will go on this.
Normal in the airline industry and almost every industy when you are out of your base you get money for food etc.. but in your base not, and if they put your base on your contract in JED in a hotel, you won't receive per diem's. Where will you eat and wash your clothes?
I'm not afraid of flying to any places, carry people for pelgrims to JED, do long hours, be away from home etc etc .. the only concern here is the basic: food and washing.

What do you think guys?

well i think that perhaps the accomodation in Jeddah, being a compound rather than a hotel, there may be facilties to cook and do your laundry etc. But I still think the salary is awful for three months in 'prison' I could stay at home and have my family and friends and earn much more ( if i wasnt already made redundant that is) but it just goes to show that for what Eagle are expecting of people, they are certainly not offering much perks or incentives!!! A lot of people would have reservations about being in Saudi....im very open minded about culture and religion but its quite strict there and can be very impractical and uncomfortable for western girls. there must be good perks to bring westerners to the east. This is why Etihad and Emirates offer such perks to their crew!

This whole thing is too weird.... nobody seems to know anything.... nobody gave us any proper info like telling us the base or something more than the basic and per diems.... Im going to London for the interview but Im not sure either. Apparently they dont even have an AOC yet so who knows whats their plan
