I think you will find these are operating due to scheduled MX of the TNT/ASL 747s.

there was 3 round trip LGG-JFK with fedex 777, charters then
... so nothing is changed

Old Freightdog is right, it's because of scheduled MX on the wide body fleet and ASL could not refuse Fedex aircraft which were offered. it created a lot of problems as Fedex would not take grooms on these flights, all horses offloaded.

Is that policy for US operated A/C not to take jumpseaters? Oh well, at the least the poor horses had a great time at `Horse Hotel´ at LGG; whilst the poor groomers probably drowned at the Park Inn :o)

In FedEx that's a long and complicated story, trust me! I suspect the issue here was the fact the B777 does not have a fortified cockpit door unlike the other fleet types.

If the grooms are on the General Declaration, no need for fortified doors on a freighter. at least not on EASA registered aircraft. But then again, some airlines have completely succombed to paranoia and xenofobism.

So Fedex just anounced massive expansion at CDG, what does that mean for LGG? Same question applies for CGN, where FX only plays second fiddle to UPS and always suffers as a result. With the Paris expansion, I doubt CGN will have much of a future (at least no further expansion) , except as a primary gateway for Germany perhaps.
But what about LGG with the expansion in Paris? Will it still be there in 11 years?

It smels very bad for CGN and bad enough (but) for LGG ...
Apparently, With the TNT merge, they promissed to keep LGG as a "significant operation" for 10-years while “avoid significant job reductions" (so they promissed that on behalf of ASL ?)
but on long term ... it's all about politics

(btw, now is THE time for the carex project, using high speed trains between LGG and CDG)

Haha, I like that one, I remember NT years ago had a picture of the train with a TNT logo on the front in his office...... What goes around comes around. I think there is a future for LGG with FX, but perhaps focused on longhaul. Now how you get the freight there is another subject (Train perhaps, but I doubt it): but on the other hand, FX flies tripples from CGN to CDG, so why not to LGG at 8K FT.

Don't have a crystal ball, can't predict the future, but under FedEx the past has been good for LGG. Since taking over, FedEx spent €100 million renovating/upgrading the sort, employment, routes, and fleet have gone up. Also LGG is a stop on the West-bound RTW (MEM-SEA-ANC-PVG-LGG-MEM). Rumors are West Atlantic has a contract to add 4 B378s (first one is confirmed/onsite), and FedEx is to work with the airport to expand the apron. Last year, FedEx announced the goal is LGG the highest performing Euro sort, so maybe year 11 could be good. Otoh FedEx still trucking from CGN US-origin containers...
