Nice to see you bursting into print again Slowly, - The last time I saw you was in Jersey, how is the new regime treating you ? have you moved accross to the left hand seat yet ? I have lost touch with most of the chaps or where they moved , ( as I spend very little time in the UK.) Do you have a short list of where some of went to? Regards to All

I hope no one is holding their breath over the new start up.
'twas only last week that I hear that the 3 engineering companies that could have helped out, have all politely turned down a request to use their JAR145's for a possible (or wholly unlikely) start up.
That makes any possibility of a start up in the UK zero, as they were the only players with the a/c type that was mentioned on their 145 at present.
FAR too much money was owed for TAWS/TCAS/checks etc etc etc all over the place for it to all be allowed to happen all over again.
And thats before the HMCE investigation, and some investigation into the pension fund that others on here may be able to shed some more info on than I can ?

Hi Ex-Emeraldies,
I was updating my logbook today and noticed that my last flight for Emerald was a year ago today, the flight that we took the sheds down to Blackpool to be mothballed.
I do hope that all of you are well and found new jobs without too much fuss.

Would be good to know who is keeping the engines warm and the tyres pumped up.
Be lucky

hell all ex emerald comrades
hello to all the my ex collegues. very rarely go onto this forum but do like to find out about the fate of emerald. i joined emerald/streamline back in 2003 as a first job and am still very grateful for the oppertuninty.
sure i moaned when i worked those deep nights, very rarely seeing the sun and getting payed pittance throughout the winter, but thats what pilots do best, complain! erm and spend too much money!
i left the SD360 back in 2005 and am now lucky enough to be flying a 757 for a much more stable company. i still regard my days on the shed as the most valuable flight hours i have, and gives a grounding that no oxford graduate straight onto an airbus would never comprehend.
the fact that emerald operated for the legnth of time that it did is purely down to the ops, rosterring f stafand flight crews and the hard graft and self sacrifice which we all nievely thought was for a greater good.
i thank you all for the valuable time that i had in emerald and hope that your path has prosperred. and for the reason that the portacabin towers are no no more, and the dedicated employyes that worked there are empty, rests with a few selfsh souls that i hope time will grant them a conscience.
