No surprises there.
Standard BALPA...speaking as one who had no help whatsoever with 2 redundancies...they are not to be trusted.
And as for the CAA ......authorising the questionable replacement operation of ancient Russian-built freighters flown by overseas crews unfamiliar with UK airspace, standing in for Emerald Airways on safety grounds......well what can one think? They are either corrupt or incompetent, or both, IMHO. (The Authority, that is)

No-one likes a smart-ass!
PF,
Thank you so much.
The AN-24 was manufactured in big numbers in each of : Irkutsk, Ulan Ude, and Kiev, all factories within the former U.S.S.R. Please demonstrate your undoubted knowledge and enlighten us as to which of the above are in Russia. (clue...Kiev is in the Ukraine). Now the AN-26, that was a Ukraine-assembled product, for what its worth. But hey......
I was actually having a pop at the C.A.A., chap. But thanks for offering yourself as an additional target. (Not being overly serious..no offence given here).

KPMG may have brought no festive cheer to ex JEM'ers but a snippet that may bring some cheer is that certain individuals will NOT be starting up their new little operation with the 748.
No AOC application has been made, and new guidlines on AOC suspensions mean that its unlikely the old AOC could be brought out of suspension either, funnilly enough none of the 'old' aircraft are earmarked for this project either.
Guess its just back to the building site or trying to sell that Lexus with one (lady) owner, honest guv !!

Quote from Aviation Industry News - Fleeet Finance:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strong stock market debut for PTB
Aircraft engine seller and repairer PTB Group has raised raising $5m in an initial public offering on the Australian Stock Exchange. The Brisbane-based company, which last week delisted from the Newcastle Stock Exchange, listed at A$2.35, representing a 35 cent, or 17.5 per cent, premium to its offer price of A$2.00. Formed in 2001, PTB operates a specialist turbine engine repair and trading business in relation to Pratt & Whitney PT6A and Honeywell PTE331 turbine engines. In September it acquired IAP Group, an independent stockist of commercial and military aircraft spare parts in the Asia-Pacific region. In October it acquired the aircraft and associated parts of UK-based Emerald Airways and Emerald Airways Engineering for about $16m.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So KPMG got some money for the assets!

Movement Of Fleet.
For those who are still interested, the Blackpool Spoters website actual recorded the day and time of arrivals and departures of the ATP's, HS748's and the Shed's going to Coventry.
For those who can't be bothered to look. The Aircarft from Coventry arrived on 23rd November at 10:46 & 13:24 (G-ORCP & G-BGMN). The same Crew? By Air Taxi if it was.
ATP's arrived 21st November at 14:18 (G-JEMC) 17th November at 13:21 (G-JEMA).One from the IOM & other from LPL.
G-AYIM arrived at 11:34 on 24th November from LPL.
Two sheds left for Coventry with the Callsign Rapex100P G-OBHD on 6th December and G-ROND 15:07. Different days I think. Have a look.
RIP.
Belated happy Christmas but have a more fruitful New Year.
All the best
