The majority of the cabin crew had all worked for well known, larger airlines and can confirm that all training was as per company manuals and to standard.I believe the CAA were happy with the ATP fleet! Any company that takes on a member of Emerald crew can be assured of employing dedicated, loyal and well trained professionals, especially me!!!!!!!.......
Debbie...I mean jemgirl, As someone who works for flight support and with you and your crew, can I just point out that there have been alot of rumours flying everywhere this past few weeks and the general public can sometimes get it wrong. Have you forgotten how closely us lot and your crews have worked together over the last year or so??? Short memory?
I actually felt soo sorry for all the people working for Emerald especially the ones who are still going in everyday at the moment not knowing if they are even getting paid this month.

And as for some other peoples opinions that flight support is a shower?
Well if thats the case why are we going from strength to strength?
At least I know my jobs secure.
It is my opinion and you lot can shoot me down if you like but MOB has a hell of alot to answer for and if he could have did his job as well as his employees did he might still have a future in aviation.

Good luck to all the guys still in limbo.

RE JEMGIRL

It seems your own personality is in port of what you are saying. Being skin deep you will not understand what this means but. I really don't care about Pat Butcher of JEM.

Good Luck and Last One Out Turns Off the Lights...

I have been reading over this forum for the past few weeks and being in close contact with a very good friend of mine(cheers buddy?? If we are talking about the same person)who is still currently working there(dont know if this a good thing?), I must say over the past few weeks it looks and sounds like all staff at all level's have been treated in an absolutely disgusting way and it shouldn't have come to this, I personally know how hard it is for flight deck to get other positions with other airlines as you are all out really for the same jobs, as for cabin crew it sounds like alot of you have got positons sorted, even if they are temporarily for the short while(congratulations), it seems that i dont need to mention who really is to blame for the downfall of the company and AOC as it seems to have been mentioned on this site many times.
As for the staff that are still there(god only knows what for??) it sounds like it will only be a matter of time before the lights are turned off and the door is locked for the final time. After speaking to Cheers Buddy alot over this topic it seems he is not the only person down as he made alot of good friends and work collegues there during his short time. And along with the rest of his work collegues has had to put up with some s t in the last few weeks/months from certain so called management.

All thats left to say is that i wish all staff both Crew,s and Ops along with ther families the best of luck for the future and hope you all put this down at a later stage in life as a very enjoyable experience but unfortunately cetain members of the company let you all down. Good luck again and i personnaly hope that Cheers Buddy(if your reading this) gets snapped up or offered something in aviation soon.

Trying to keep the customers?

Now Hear on the grapevine that the plan last week was to try to charter in an AN-24 to try and protect the IOM route, well been told today that Atlantic Airlines start this route Tuesday with an Electra on the back of its TNT flight.
My mistake but shouldn't most of the flights been looked at being Chartered out a few weeks ago? then maybe some customers might of continued to stay and wait for new investors and kept some money coming in..

Do you mean an AN-26, rather than an AN-24? At least 2 AN-26s are now flying mail routes after the end of Emerald. 1 is flying EMA-IOM and one flying LPL-EDI if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if these are Emerald chartered a/c or organised by other parties for those that need the cargo.

Still a RAF Avia An-26 parked on "Victor" waiting to fly the freight to EMA tonight. Are they Emerald charters or someone elses? And I notice the Emerald handlers at IOM are still working. At least one part of the company looks to be surviving.

Good luck to you all. Hope this is a minor glitch in lifes rich tapestry for you chaps.

There is no news on who is buying it yet because the 'due dilligance' is taking a lot longer than KPMG would like.

One 'snippet' of news is that it is now down to only 2 serious bids on the table, one of which may be about to walk away as the price may be just that little bit too high.

All I can say without giving anything away is that is good news for the 748crews still out of work.

Dont expect much to come out till Friday at the earliest.

I'm an outsider who just happens to have to a couple of mates who flew for Jem.

It's time some of you guys grew up; vitriolic attacks and "being right" don't pay the bills.

Maybe you should use your energy to help your co-workers rather than indulge in willy waving .
