Its true....the shed lot, the majority of what was left of the crewing department, half of the ops department....all dissmissed by a standard letter from KPMG and without the knowledge of the relevant department managers. For the record KPMG im Miss not Ms and it would of been nice for you have bothered to type the Madam rather than scrible out the Sir and write it or maybe even type my name!!!

But still i have loved my time at Emerald even though its been hard work at times, wish all my good friends who are still there the best of luck it seems they will need it!!

Finally though they may now need to employ a cleaner for the upstairs loo and kitchen, and get those type ratings on Henry going!!!

No surprise really. No proprietor would hand over control to accountants on Beckham's hourly rate of pay unless there was no other option. Cash is king in business. Shame, i hear that they cleared six figure debts in the last year. Sounds like they underestimated the CAA's determination this time round. Obviously normally generating a substantial cash surplus, so fingers crossed for an eager buyer.

Best of luck to the Shed crews, Ops and Hosties and the remnants at Lpl

The thought police are onto us!

We had a thought of our own and that can't be allowed to continue.

Imagine the consequences!

Unhappy Looks like Administrators are doing the burial arrangement for this weekend

Hi Everyone concern

I spoke to a good source and looks like funeral arrangement is under way for Emerald, as they have failed to regain their AOC. Administrators are working upstairs to put Emerald under the ground.

What a waste of a good money making company to go down under like this.

By next week comes more pilots, cabin crew, ops, and office staff will be joining the dole as we have from the 11th Shed and some of Ops and Crewing gone.

Be brave nervermind one door closes another one opens in life.

Good Luck all

funeral wreath ?

Sad to hear if this is true. Someone somwhere must have really crossed swords with the CAA for this to have happened.

So what happened to the "We are working to get the AOC back?" and "Has been temporarily suspended"

Smile Wouldn't like to be at the Funeral

It's a big joke from the Management, saying we are going to rescue the company from drowning, when the boat is already burning in the middle of ocean which is not far from Liverpool.

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY call was too late folks, no chance for survival.

Dont bothered shedding tears on this company.

I like to see the mob getting buried too this weekend.

Get your shovels ready to throw the sand over the coffin.

Cheers

You're sick. The bloke was only doing his job. If it is so easy to manage a 20 strong fleet operation, why aren't you doing it, and earning the supposed massive salary?
If it wasn't for incompetent pilots going off the end of runways, or not managing to follow a checklist properly then you all might still have job. You can't blame him for everything.
Some poeple need to take a good look in the mirror. MOB faults are a handy distraction from other poeple's ineptitude. Don't get me wrong, he is abrasive to say the least, but this MOB bashing is out of proportion.

Weneedpilots, yup his jobs a piece of wee wee,so much so that virtually all other occupiers of his post manage to do it without resorting to daily"morale boosters" of the variety that well hung ops gimp has described.

Have you actually read this post through? Or are you yet another numpty with no knowledge of the operation or the man?

Bad tradesman always blame to his tools

I do understand the problem with some pilots poor performance, but this shouldn't have been allowed to happened if they would have had proper training and proper maitenance of the aircrafts and a good leadership to allow to meet the high standard in aviation world which is not much to ask.

Ops guys can only do their jobs, what the big man wants them to do. Stop blaming to the tools when the trademan doesn't have a clue how to keep his tools well in service.

Peeved, doesn't even come close

Incompetent Pilots ???

Working at 3am, Fatigued in aircraft designed from World War Two engineering..........I'd like to see those that criticise try their hardest landing in crap wx down to minimums. Before making such judgements, perhaps we should wait for the AAIB reports, like gentlemen (and ladies) ?

99% of the pilots worked F***ing hard to keep the company operating.

There was only so much banging a head against a brick wall that one could take.

The CAA have a job to do; if the company could not be run properly, did not have a rigourous maintenence schedule, wasn't prepared to invest in crew/resources/aircraft, happy to allow problem after problem manifest into a FUBAR situation, then the management have only themselves to blame. The workforce often raised problems that could have been fixed - logically. But hey, why not just bury heads in the sand, call the CAA nasty names and it will all blow over.

My best wishes to those that make nice cups of tea/coffee, treat people with respect and fellow aviators.

Leadership requires respect......And in most cases you need to f***ing earn it.

One Dot Right, your location says it all. Go and have another pint mate.

I see you side stepped the issue of pilots running off of runways by the way.
Just because I don't agree with your rantings, doesn't mean I am a numpty.
Not only I have I followed this thread, but the countless one's before, all with the same theme, mostly from the same few ppruners.

I have been on both sides of MOB, and he has really p*ssed me off in the past, but at least he kept the contracts flying, on UK registered A/C, with UK pilots for as long as possible.

It is a good insight into our market place that the majority of the fringe RM contracts are now being flown by foriegn reg A/C, with foreign crews. BAC, Channex etc.. all bailed out of the 3-6t market ages ago. If it was that easy to do, then surely a UK company would come and fill the gap that is left.

It looks a bit simpler through the bottom of a pint glass, or with your rose tinted glasses on I guess.

"I see you side stepped the issue of pilots running off of runways by the way."

A very recent event, and not one that would,on its own have caused the CAA to have pulled an AOC.

"all bailed out of the 3-6t market ages ago. If it was that easy to do, then surely a UK company would come and fill the gap that is left. "

Well yes,but all the time Emerald was going, and not following the rules that everybody else had to to keep their AOC's then it's very easy to have a monopoly innit?

Whether i'm wearing rose tinted specs and looking through the bottom of a pint glass or not doesn't alter the fact that a good, money making company has been reduced to nothing due to an egomaniac control freak with no regard for other people.

Kind regards
