dsendnow and B727 of course BAC has NOT been taken over by ACL, true I am led to believe that ACL were sniffing about when things were looking a bit grim, but the are NOT interested.

On the subject of the latest from here well, FedEx contracts continue and an extra one was added a few months ago, RM flying has not completely ended with 4 a/c being kept amused from the original 9, so some redundancies are still going ahead.

Staff are leaving (QM and more decent ops bods), but I think that has got to do with the uncertantly and appauling lack of comunication pre christmas and some may be persuaded to stay, a refinancing of the company has apparently been sucessful, so its a case of wait and see.

As someone who has been on the good side and bad side of BAC 'management decisions' I can only wish my former collegues well for the new year !!

Wonder why ACL weren't interested?

Refinancing eh? You mean they're selling off their assets just to balance the books.

When thats in place, maybe they will be generous and increase the redundancy payments above the legal minimum as well.

Stay of execution for a few pilots, with a couple of Royal Mail routes for a few months until Channel/Titan have the aircraft.

If you know so much Air Mail then maybe you can tell us why ACL are not interested ?

Why are you so so negative, ok so BAC aint the best employer in the whole world, but they have given a lot of us a start in commercial aviation and I am thankfull for that.

Jesus christ at least they have assets, and not just a few portacabins piled on top of each other !!

I think there has been alot of speculation on whether BAC ( Little House on the prairy) will be saved or leave the aviation world.

There are only 2 people that have got any answers and that is JS / MF - MF hasn't get the guts to be truthful never has and never will thats why people leave. And JS well aslong as he gets his wage packed thats all he cares about.. He has no CRM at all and could do with learning it.

I feel sorry for the guys that are still working there not knowing from one day to the next whether they are going into a job or not..For some reason or another they have always had a good bunch of Ops Controllers but as they get treated like **** they
dont hang around long enough.

I think an earlier post stated let MF go .. That would be the best thing that could happen to BAC aslong at JS follows then they maybe able to rebuild the company but maybe it is too late

So over to you then MF or JS???????????

What do ACL want with a fleet of old shed and F27's not really
their style.

The only thing that would interest them is the Fedex routes.

The only thing that would interest Fedex at contract renewal would be nice new ATR's in HAM GLA LYS NCE MRS the F27 and the shed just dont cut it anymore this is 2004.

What happens to the airline then. Who runs the ATR fleet DUB or LGW.

Think I know the answer to that one. Especially when they will all be wearing EI on the tail.

I guess ACL could add the ATR to BAC's TRTO scheme and sell ATR type ratings? If they can get sim time somewhere?

Will they give ATR type ratings to BAC employees or sell them I wonder?
