So, did any junior CX pilots actually receive a redundancy email today? Numbers weren't mentioned, and I expect they're hoping the B-Scale non-signers will make the numbers they are requiring be cut.
Bad luck to the KA guys, I feel for them.
Trying to figure out the funniest thing I've read today: Either the fact that there will be COS18RA55, or CXorcist's "What if nobody on CoS08 signs??? One last chance to demonstrate some solidarity."
Tough day for many regardless. Take care people.

No way this is over. What they have really set up is the ability to choose fleet and demographics in the next round of axes.
100 from the bottom was just to create a legal (debatable) way to force everyone onto COS18, nothing more.
In 3-6 months, when fleet sizes are finalised, there will be more. Say for instance that bus flying changes to 320/350, but the 777 fleet is halved (or more), now they can chop 50% FO and CN from the fleet that needs it, completely out of seniority.

I hate to be the portent of potential bad outcomes, and I hope the CX management have not taken notes from EK, but at EK, they sacked all the new joiners/probation people first then about a month later started the first round of culls with the line pilots. There have been three slash and burns of the line pilots thus far.

A shout out to all our KA colleagues, you deserve better and my sincerest sympathies to you all. Best of luck for your future endeavours.

Bunch of limp wrist ninnies. Likely those who haven’t a clue about solidarity, never learned a freakin thing from the 49’ers and already ruined Cathay by bending over. Grab your ankles and repeat after me... “thank you sir may I have another”
