So the hundreds of locals getting HKPA and Special Allowance were being discriminated against? Do you think they would have got that without the existence of expat housing?
Expat housing was designed to bring in experience and keep it here by making it financially punitive to leave. Very simple. Cadets will always be a dime a dozen to recruit (hence thousands of applications) but very expensive to get on to the line. I'm really unsure as to why local cadet pilots feel they ever deserved expat housing just because the expats got it. You've totally missed the point. It wasn't discrimination, it was just business.

The income statement will be ameliorated shortly without housing.
- “bring in experience” - hkexpress does too and on local terms
-“Making it financially punitive to leave” well Even without housing, it will still be financially punitive to leave; as so few options.

There's suspicion going around today in the local media that the entire KA is gonna vanish... Those route/slot prob few months back with the CAAC might have been ironed out with President Xi in SZ last week now that HK Gov has a say in CX

That would be “nice” for you? Really? You’re enjoying this?
“I’m not gonna sign COS18 neither accept a paycut” Are you hoping to move into my LHS? Something tells me you’re many decades away from command either way.
“Chicken and rice” and some dignity is better than what you have I bet.

Same here.
What if nobody on CoS08 signs?
One last chance to demonstrate some solidarity. It’s never too late to grow a pair. If we did, we might be in danger of becoming good men with character and principles.

So to understand this more clearly- it's LIFO- for how many pilots? Approx how many years service is that? And then also all those who don't sign the new demoralized contract?
My condolesences- but anyway, it's not like you're being hard done by, plenty other pilots copped it long ago- so yeeaaahhhh....
