Devil Dragon Forum

HI KA Pilots,

It seems many do not want to post on the DPA website for fear of being challenged at work simply for having a difference of opinion - or to be silenced by the system! Maybe time to take it elsewhere then where the message can get out...

It would be best not to use names (or direct titles) of those you wish to shame, or you may bring down the forces of darkness on you by saying something they consider defamatory.

Looking forward to hearing what's going on at the Red (CX) Dragon.

Maybe you could enlighten everyone else why your DPA put a 0% pay rise to your vote, and why you voted for it.................

The vote was for another 2 years Rostering Practices Agreement AND zero pay increase for (another) 12 months. The vote was about a 70/30 spilt in favour. Obviously the RPA provides some lifestyle protection. I hear the DPA have told the company zero won't wash next year. I imagine at some point in the next 6-12 months we'll be joining CX in CC unless a pay rise is forthcoming.

I gotta laugh at your naivety. After 3 years of zero (by 2019) and two years of 2% before this, you really think Dragon pilots have the stomach for a fight?
There are a few senior guys busting to let off steam, but the company know that most the B scalers are happy to work out their contracts, take the housing benefits, and retire when it suits them. The company also know that the C scales have no unity, and are too busy chasing Chinese skirt at the rear galley, to have any energy left to be bothered about industrial issues. In fact, by joining KA on a 20K housing allowance, would already demonstrate their willingness to take shine jet syndrome over pay and benefits. If there is indeed any shiny jets @ Ka ?

Not true, most C scale FO's just want to keep their heads down and focus on getting through their PCA and command course - it's a captains airline and FO's don't get much say in matters. C scale captains are still relatively few in number so don't have much of a voice either. There is growing discontent with the lack of SA increase over the years despite enormous rental increases in HK - most C scale FO's I fly with are paying 30K+ a month rent.

working practically no difference to FOs, getting absolutely nothing?
Looks like you get nothing simply by voting for it.

This company can't even treat our junior staff well, Time to win, equality..blahblahblah is just bullshxt.
The company line is 'they get nothing in order to pay back their training costs'. Once the third stripe arrives at the end of the three years KA (cadet) FOs are on around HKD120-30,000 including 'Special Allowance' HKD21,300 and will have logged around 1500-1700 hours in the right seat of the A320. How does this compare to a CX SO at the three year point?

"how does this compare to a CX SO at the three year point? Well, our SO's, have logged about 1500-1700 bunk making episodes by that point and eligible for DEBM (Direct Entry Bed Maker) at the any Marriot worldwide, so there.
