That's quite a jump in fees! Any reason for that to be so ? Maybe trying to claw back the Twitter loss by cross-pollination ;-)

Until Tesla 3 became available in real life, the quoted price on their website was quite attractive too.
I wouldn't really call it bait and switch on the jump in price, just reality adjustment when they work out the actual costs such as shipping, distribution, billing, support etc. If the take up is not spectacular, there will be specials on offer as the satellites are up there already, sitting idle, and not bringing in revenue. Wait a few weeks and see.
Does Starlink UK have outright purchase plans where you buy the hardware and just pay for usage or get a fixed monthly allowance? My friend in outback Australia took advantage of a recent half price offer and put the entire assembly together and had it running in twenty minutes, most of which was spent searching for the activation code in his emails. He is chuffed, as his mobile phone also can take advantage of WiFi calling to provide coverage which was previously extremely spotty from a phone tower about ten miles away. Cost? AU$499 on-off for the dish and associated equipment, and a monthly fee of AU$99. How does this compare with the cost of Starlink in other places such as war torn Ukraine, etc?

For interest: Just saw an ad for Starlink Australia for rural customers for special offer of AU$199, down from AU$924. Maybe the competition is heating up, or they need more cash flow?
