PPRuNe problems
Over the last few days, I'v noticed that when PPRuNe loads, often the right hand edge scroll bar disappears and it becomes impossible to move the view down - that's using IE11.
With the latest Firefox, the scroll bar sometimes disappears, but the up/down keyboard arrows still work. They didn't with IE11.
No doubt this is a by-product of all these infernal adverts and people will yet again advise me to install an adblocker, but perhaps 't management might look into this?

Hi BEagle,
What you describe has just started happening this morning on my computer too. It only appears to affect the main Pprune menu page, whereas the scroll bars on the individual threads are unaffected. I did turn my computer off overnight, rather than just putting it in sleep mode as I usually do, so maybe that gave it a chance to change something upon doing a full start up.
Its really annoying.

It's not just me then. This started happening yesterday. I can get around it by going back to the main page and refreshing - but it's certainly a pain.
I'm using Chrome BTW

Well, perhaps only partly....
The latest PITA is some wretched advert (flash?) which causes pages to freeze. 'adform' or somesuch.....
So there are only 2 real choices left:
Otherwise more and more people will get fed up and turn their backs on what was once an excellent website.

So there are only 2 real choices left:
- Install an adblocker and kill all adverts.
- The site owners do a better job of filtering adverts.

I think there are 3 choices left-
3 Install ghostery
I never see ads, never have problems and dont give a toss that this site isn`t going to make any money from me from ads. Why should I have to succumb to these irritating infiltrations. If the technology to view a perfect page exists on this site or others then use it. Win7 + FF

Reluctantly installed Adblock Plus
I very reluctantly installed Adblock Plus a number of years ago. The tipping point was moving image ads that consumed all of the CPU on my computer making it unresponsive. Ads that make an unsolicited noise (usually artificially loud and obnoxious) are also completely unacceptable.
I am not against ads but it is my computer and having it stop working is unacceptable to me.
In adblock plus I "Allow some non-intrusive advertising". You can read how that works here - https://adblockplus.org/en/acceptable-ads.
It starts:
For example I get ads on google search pages which I don't mind at all.
You can easily exclude from blocking, your favourite sites where advertising is wanted and reasonable.

Yet again there are problems with glacial page loading.
Every time I try to access a PPRuNe web page, I see 'Waiting for ad.doubleclick.net' displayed at the lower left edge of the frame.
There is so much advertising contamination on PPRuNe nowadays that the site is becoming virtually unusable without an ad-blocker.

If you see a specific ad on the page, every time you see slow loads, let me know (screen shot if you can) because maybe it's one advertiser. Thank you.
