Hiring will resume soon. Boeing finally got their act together and a bunch of Max 8 will arrive till the end of year. ALAS (Copas flight school) can only provide a little over 30 pilots a year. For 2025 it is expected about 140 admisions.

No. I have applied 3 times (cause every time I applied they came back telling me to reapply under a different position number but always for First Officer). I also sent them an email requesting an update and I havent heard back for over a month. Not sure if they send PFO letters or not. Hopefully they get back in touch.

I don't think anyone is actively working in the recruiting department. I sent them 2 follow up emails in a span of few months, did not get a reply to either of them. So safe to say that they aren't actively hiring at the moment or they're looking for something in particular. Either way I would apply elsewhere and not wait on them

A friend of mine who applied a while ago received an email from the pilot selection team saying that they are currently focusing on panamenian candidates or people who has already any relevant type rating experience and as soon as they run out of those candidates they will move with the next ones

Hi
I have applied Copa airlines on 18th december 2025 as NTR FO. And got the same response after 4 days to fill the form. I believe it will take some time to respond from them because of holiday season. Any update so far with anybody ?
Also Is there any group for COPA assessment/Interview Group on whatsapp?

Based on what I’ve seen and heard it seems that office form it’s just an automatic send from their system. Based on emails they have sent and comments from other pilots in the airline they are currently hiring only Panamanians and people from their own school and after they run out of those candidates they will move to foreigners with jet experience so it seems we may have to wait for a while for NTR foreigners.

FYI, FO and Capt positions are open for application once more. On their jobs site, they're showing open FO and Capt positions, posted Jan 5.
Maybe they didn't fill the number of positions they needed, as these positions were open until Dec 31...?

I had applied on 18th last month and applied again on 6th. I have received a form for initial but nothing for recent one. Its been 20 days and still showing "under consideration". I think they are just collecting data for expats

I just got an email from them to apply again but when i click on more detail its says cant reach this page. i submitted initial application on 2nd feb and got mail on 6th and in their portal it says under consideration .

+1 , applied on 18th dec then on 7 Jan now if you check dashboard lts is already showing under consideration for 12380. So total 3 applications for me. Let's see also this 12380 is not on portal, we just got the email.

Yesterday I got 2 emails less than 5 min apart. One was a Google Forms to "update my info" and the other one I got said that "they're currently focusing on Panamanian pilots and they will contact me when they have vacancies for expats".
Sit tight, I guess...
