Saw the pics you linked has 2015. So could be an error/typo.
...anyone heard anything on CAL? rumor of that Q400 change is still around..

Waste of resources
Gentlemen, I heard that interviews were conducted in Kingston and weeks after the show nobody even got wind of a phone call or email to say "you have been selected for our next step in our process". Who does that?
Was this a waste of resources? How can flight deck crew shortage be raging on CAL's schedule and yet nothing has been done promptly to ease the pressure before the summer rush.
My opinion is that it was a show, a show to the media that CAL stages every now and then. Last hiring was Dinosaur ages ago. The media and the rest of the public thinks CAL cares for the KIN base. Its a failed investment when they decided to take over Air Jamaica and it still is. Now, think, they have to cut the soar rotting leg off or it will poison the rest of the Airline. What better way to cut it off than to let it suck itself dry and fall off, best way without media attention. Starve the schedule, starve the routes, starve the employees, cut staff due to lack of funds, dwindle down smaller and a cycle slowly goes un-noticed until its no more. The Jamaican Government will be speechless, just like they are now.
Now CAL would have won at its primary goal. Take over the Caribbean like there are open skies agreement everywhere in the Caribbean basin and run everyone else into the ground. Don't you folks even see the dirty deed behind the screen. The brand CARIBBEAN AIRLINES is selected solely for the purpose, to be the only airline that exist in the Caribbean. Sadly, I must say, that dream was made by crack heads up in staff and Government.
People be wise, do you think if you were hired that you would even last. I am sure they must be doing some 'inhumane and unspeakable' tactics for the sake of cost that these previous pilots got burnt over and decided its time to pack and leave a sweet Island like Jamaica.

Does anyone know if CAL accepts other high school equivalency diplomas in lieu of 5 CXC passes or alternatively, are they flexible on the 5 CXC min requirements? i.e. Could less than 5 be accepted?

Yea they are pretty strict on the CXC requirements (Even if you have tertiary level education, they still want to see the cxc results). I find that strange...
Five (5) is the requirement as listed and you must have the 5. (Math and English are the mandatory subjects). I have had friends that applied and received interviews with equivalent high school diplomas, so that shouldn't be a huge deal either... They also had tertiary level education. It is always advised to have some tertiary level education as more and more airlines will soon ask for higher education level in the future to progress. Cal list degree an asset!

They want the original certificate. Bring everything original for them, they will copy whatever they need/want.
Hiring process is as follows:
Interview, psychometric assessment, simulator assessment > next available groundschool.
Be aware that the process does take time. couple years sometimes (with intermittent delays in-between). You can read through this thread and have some idea. Anything else you can always ask! Cheers

"Seriously what is happening here ?! There was a round of interviews recently but no start date in sight for those who attended."
pfvspnf,
Is this the system used in the interview process ? Sounds fancy and "...rapidly-deployable...":
"Caribbean Airlines Ltd successfully and cost-effectively assessed all First Officer candidates using the highly-dependable and rapidly-deployable SurePilot(TM) assessment."
SurePilot(TM) successfully assess over one-hundred First Officer candidates in one month for Caribbean Airlines Ltd - Press Releases
