Copa

hi,

they seem really desperates, called me and send me emails. With the hiring situation here in Canada I'm not really interested!

What are the conditions there? I heard pay is around 30K US and you cannot have a row of days OFF so you're stuck in Panama. Is it true?

A signficant number of pilots left Copa throughout 2016 and first semester of 2017 to fly abroad and the airline resumed its growth plan, so they're short of flight deck crew and rosters are tough again. Expect 85-100h per month with 8-10 days off. A number of days off in a row is not guaranteed, so don't count on that for going back home.

The airline has a swap flight system that works pretty well so you can try changing your roster more to your likes.

Payment is around 4,5k-5k USD per month for a FO with an ATPL licence.

Expats pilots must now have at least ICAO 5 for being hired.
