A Merry ACASS!!!

ACASS Management:

May your Christmas turkey be stuffed full of the same misery and suffereing that you have inflicted on your employees and contract pilots. How can you look in the mirror after the way you have ripped off your customers and utterly disregarded the aviation laws?

ACASS

Wow, you have obviously had a bad experience!

However, for the sake of other visitors to this site I have to say that, in all the years I have known them, ACASS management and the people they employ have all behaved in a most professional manner and done their best for pilots and clients alike.

I hope your experiences in 2009 are more favourable.

Have a Happy Christmas and Good Luck for the New Year.

ACASS contd

Greywings (or should that be broken Wings ??),

Its always you or Chandlers Dad leaping to the defence of this shower, maybe you are not so cunningly disguised as their VPCS?
Oh ! maybe you could explain why this company which you hold up as a paragon of virtue,a model for charter, management and crew support, lost their Chief Pilot of 10 years ??? May you get the 2009 you so richly deserve !!

It is aways disappointing to read an infantile post when these forums should more appropriately be used to exchange information that would be useful to the readers.

Petulant and childish comments serve no useful purpose; clear and concise explanations of why you - or anyone else - think that any company deserves criticism would be of benefit to anyone thinking of working for that company.

Are you a politician ???

GW ,
You are very well qualified to be as you are clearly incapable of answering a perfectly sensible question .Also please note that there are several recent ( and many not so recent) comments on the "goings on" at ACASS and the majority are just about as negative as they could be ! Presumably they are all wrong /juvenile etc etc .

May I remind you that this forum is still run on the basis of the age old premise of freedom of speech. From all that I hear that is a concept that is alien to the frozen corridors of Montreal ,actively discouraged in fact !Of course if anything written by me or any other contributors is inaccurate ,incorrect or just plain "pricks your conscience", I am sure you will be able to enlighten or re-educate us all.

trolleydolly,

You have used this forum appropriately, I must say. As a former ACASS employee, I can assure you that many post on this forum regarding ACASS are quite factual. The "snake," as you call him, goes by other names like "used car salesman" or "fruit loop." He is definitely a two-sided coin as the VPFCS/PP has no respect for the pilots. I have personally heard him say the pilots are like abunch of school kids or, even worse, refer to them as pieces of $*@#.

One thing for sure is that anyone thinking of contracting or working for ACASS should watch his back when dealing with the snake. If, by chance, any senior management folks should happen to read this post, the reason the Chief Pilot resigned is because of the snake. The sooner he is replaced, the better. Then maybe ACASS would have a chance at getting its respect back within the industry.

HTD,

It is a shame that you don't read previous posts properly before rushing into print. I stand by my previous comments that my OWN experiences with ACASS have all been positive. That, I would think, ties in nicely with your comment about 'freedom of speech', etc. Once again, if you have specific complaints about any person or part of their organisation then I suggest that you do as section 8 did, and identify the person or part you think is responsible for the current problems.

BTW, I have never been an employee of ACASS, nor ever will be. I don't live within thousands of miles of Montreal. Nor would I - have you seen their weather in winter? I did not know the Chief Pilot who resigned and therefore not the reason for him (her?) leaving.

As I said previously these forums should be a place for us all to find useful information rather than read petulant and abusive comments towards someone who might have a different opinion than your own.

Lets start with somehting positive!
Morning to all and have a great new year.......
Well I usually abstain from writting on this forum as I feel it is a place where an accussed cannot defend himself.
I worked for this company twice. The first time was different and eventually worked fine except there were differences between E. St. H. and the owner of the aircraft. I was then offered to do a 604 course (Self sponsored) and promised lots of work and great money.
OK, course done and work trickled in slowly at first. My first contract was a disaster..........First Captain was fired for trying to get the contract himself (So I was told!) The second 'commander', a South Africain turned out to be afraid of flying. Needless to say, we did not get along and I was the one taken off the contract. I was then offered a few other really good contracts. When I say good, I mean the owners of the aircraft were very nice, real gentlemen. There were problems between E. St. H. and the owners again....
I was then offered, again, another long term contract. I was to be based in YUL and offered 4000 $CDN......a big joke since I was making around 8000$USD previously! (I live in Europe) I wrote them a PFO letter as I had recouped my training costs.
The 'Chief Pilot' was a nice guy, although I always felt he was there for the money and not the job. He was not doing the real job as I am sure he was just a puppet for the owner. Then there was B.M. my old CAF mentor. I think of him very often, but he was there for himself.
All in all, I have no 'positive' memories of this company. Should they ever call me, I think I would consider a long term contract, but they would have to pay the rating this time...

ACASS Contd.....

Hi DC10 driver,

Well surprise ,surprise another happy experience of ACASS (sarcastic or what ?) Sorry to hear about your disappointments ,but as I mentioned this appears to be the norm rather than the exception !! Believe it or not I don't enjoy criticizing these people ,it is done in the hope that they change their ways(some chance!) or that other aviation professionals who are passionate about this industry and in the process trying to feed their families do not get shafted in the normal ACASS fashion .Best avoided !!

Good luck in the future mate

Cheers HTD

Oh dear ,can't take it ??

GW,

You really have not said a word in answer! My remarks are neither petulant nor juvenile and a brief scan of previous posts/threads on ACASS will only substantiate my comments ,indeed most are far more scathing and angry than mine. They are all based on factual events and information as well as personal experience .Exactly what is yours,if as you say, you have never worked for them ?? Come on ....put up or shut up ! !

HTD,

Oh, Dear, you are getting your knickers in a twist again!

As I have said previously, read my previous post(s) and you will see what I think and why. Far from trying to protect ACASS's reputation, what I have suggested several times is that people post details (as has been so well done by 'dc10driver') so that readers who may be unfamiliar with the company in question can get a balanced (instead of hysterically one-sided) view of things.

I really do hope you have a much nicer 2009 that 2008. I am sure that deep down inside there is sensible person struggling to be heard.

Thank you, too.

I apologise for the repetitive posts, but the message was not getting across for some reason.

GW try glasses !!

GW

May I politely ask you to refrain from outbursts like "hysterical ,petulant,.....etc etc" This forum is called Pilots RUMOUR network !! So next time you feel like making smart a***e remarks ,acting so smug and superior ,remember that will you ? All remarks made here are subject to scrutiny and open to conjecture and that creates healthy debate .Therefore I suggest that you read DC10s post again carefully as he clearly states that there are constant problems between E st H and owners,he was offered loads of money and jobs that never materialsed and completes his post by saying he has "NO POSITIVE MEMORIES OF THIS COMPANY " ........ Try Specsavers or resume your role in the Muppet show !

Acass Snafu!!!

Acass Snafu!!!

Anyone hear anything about an ACASS crew that was recently jailed in Lagos, Nigeria? Would love to know the details and what led to it. Well I posted this around the 25th of November and of course as always someone jumps in to defend "assache" as they should be known and not acass, this time it was Willie Everlearn, in past posts on this forum Chandlers Dad was right there to defend as was the case when Contract Flygal posted about an incident in London with tickets to go home and so on. If any one is interested go back through the forum and see for yourself, the point here I am trying to make is that the VPFCS/PP has more then one Moniker and goes right for the jugular vain to defend assache. Things have been very slow in the new offices in Montreal and Grey Wings you should go over to see your management friends and pour them a little of that medicine you told HTD to take and whilst your at it pour some for yourself you sound a lot like the VPFCS/PP, if by chance Section 8 reads this post do you know what happened in Lagos and why was the acass crew Jailed? dc10 driver I commend you on you honesty as to what transpired with you! I got the arm around the shoulder you are my man your doing a fine job, keep up the good work, we are friends, yes thats the "used car salesman" at it again does this sound familiar to you as you read this post? and then wait to be shafted when things dont' go the way he wants them to "fruit loop" is at it again watch you rectum.

Assache !!

Not sure if you have a dictionary but apparently the 2009 edition of the Aviation Complete Abbreviations Sayings Spellings (Gosh does that spell ACASS ?) contains the following....

AIRCRAFT .... devices to be crewed by professional aviation staff and flown for the benefit of passengers

ACASS ....to be shafted by one's superiors/a lack of back up from colleagues at head office/rats deserting sinking ship /the dawning of false promises especially in French speaking countries near North America.( see also ASSACHE )

ASSACHE.....(anagram of ACASS specifically Higher Echalons) severe pain in the derriere region (also near North America!) commonly occurring during periods of employment or conversely unemployment experienced by freelance or contracted aviation personnel of ACASS

ALLEGEDLY

Available soon from all good bookstores and FBO,s worldwide !!
