qcca recruitement

Hi Guys,

I have noticed that there has been a lot of recruitement activity with QCCA, is this likely to continue or have they finished with holding recruitement days for the year and will now spend the remainder of the year completing the process for the current candidates that were successful so far? I applied on the QCCA page and at no stage has it said 'recruiting just 'accepting interest' a few months ago. haven't heard a thing but i did notice that the information required to fill in was a lot less than with the likes of QF link and other airlines? Is this normal?

Thaks

Hey

Hey guys..
I went to the recruitment day on the 17th of April. I made it through to the final interview but haven't heard anything yet.

Has anyone who went that week heard anything? They said they would give us an update in two weeks but I wasn't really expecting that! lol

Nothing we can do but keep on waiting!

Good luck to everyone who's waiting to hear from them!

I also noticed their online app is rather scant compared to others. Nowhere do they give you an opportunity to differentiate yourself from all the other candidates. I did apply but never received an invitation. The only thing I think where I didn't tick the boxes was on height. Seems they have pretty narrow criteria, which is fine, I just like recruitment processes that are based more on how you perform & attitude than your dimensions. I have been successful at interviews elsewhere so it's not as if I don't have something relevant to the industry and job.

Just waiting

spawn08 I too went for an interview around that time and I'm still waiting to see what happens next. Has anyone received 'that' email lately? or are people being told they have moved on to the next stage of the recruitment?

The height restriction is for safety purposes only regarding blocking the door exits in an evacuation. You must be able to reach the assist handles either side of the 747 door to guard and block the door in emergencies.
Unfortunately if you are below a certain height it pretty much means your arms are not long enough to do this.

I have had many friends miss out on the opportunity to fly with certain airlines because of this. If your passion is to make your living in the sky you just need to find an airline with smaller aircraft and lower height requirements.

Smile Hi everyone :)

Hi all,

Just wanting to see how all the newbies are enjoying their new life in the sky? Was it what you expected?

Also, to the rest of us that have our fingers and toes crossed in regards to joining you, have you heard from QCCA or friends if anyone is progressing through to the next stage?

FlyAway79...did you put your first base preference as Adelaide? I noticed thats where your said to be located. Im from Perth and have also not heard anything. I beleive they ARE still recruiting, just in Sydney and Melbourne at the moment. Maybe BNE aswell.
and yeah, i noticed too about how theyve asked for less information than other airlines, i guess they'll request more information from you when they need it. goodluck x

Forget about Brisbane.

Brisbane base currently overstaffed, crew have been waiting on a transfer list for over 3 years to try to get into Brisbane.

They have taken a couple of CSM's and CSS's recently.

qcca recruitement

Hi 1 flighty 1

No I actually put MEL as my base pref as there is no ADL base for FC or CC so the closest to me is MEL which i would be more than happy with. I just hear people getting recruitement days and I was thinking maybe there is another way of applying as the website doesn't ask very many questions. I def meet the minimum requirements so just wondering....

mam recruitment day

Hi everyone

i just checked my emails which i hadn't checked for just over a day and found an invitation to a melbourne recruitment day for MAM

i know this isnt the same topic as QCCA but didnt know where else to post. i went to the My Booking Manager registration site and found no links or dates to select which probably means i wasnt fast enough.

i am just wondering what happens now? i have been waiting on their system for over 9 months now and woud hate for my chance to be ruined. what is the process now? do i have to wait and reapply in 6 months? do i get an automatic invite to the next session? do i email them and explain the situation?

any ideas? Thanks

MAM

I would ring or email them today to explain your situation. I'm sure there will be a place for you (people drop out, say no etc)

Email: [email protected]

I know the Melbourne VRD is on the 30th of May so you may want to keep that day free. They are also interviewing in Perth and Sydney.

Has anyone else heard from MAM who may be able to help with contact numbers etc?

Good luck and well done for getting an invite Dyal1!

MAM

Thanks chicken or fish 2

i just checked the mybookingmanager.com site and found dates available so now i am booked in for a recruitment day

in Melbourne the dates available were the 28th 29th and 30th May (i booked the 28th). is anyone else attending this session? there were also 3 days available for Sydney and 1 day for Perth.

Im not too familiar with the process of MAM. does anyone have any tips for the day? or would it be pretty similar to QCCA's recruitment?

Good luck to everyone going to these recruitment days

Hey

jaffac: I haven't received that email yet. Hopefully they just haven't got to me yet. Otherwise I'm starting to think maybe I'm in the 'thanks but no thanks' pile.

The waiting does get rather annoying, though! Has anyone else heard anything from QCCA?

dyal1 a search under Mam will get you all the info you need.

This is a QCCA thread, which as you might guess has nothing to do with Mam.

I wish you luck in your application but suggest you could start a new Mam thread to gain the information you seek.

As for QCCA, the trips are coming in slowly as there are so many of us on reserve at the moment. So far all the crew have been fantastic to work with and very helpfull in the cabin. The trips have been varied off reserve which a lot of crew like. Some of us are looking foward to the next roster when we'll have a flying line and hopefully get a few trips with our buddies.

To anyone who is waiting for news we know the waiting is the worst, we have felt your pain. No news is definitely good news, the hard part is keeping yourself from going insane while you wait for the emails/calls.

Good luck everybody.

Thanks A_B_P for your msg. It is good to hear how it is going now that you are on line. The hardest part about the waiting is that you still have to get through you normal work day when all you want to do is fly!

QCCA

Hi there

Can anyone who is online at QCCA please tell me if they are enjoying Qantas?
How are you rosters/destinations/hours, fellow crew (and senior crew), fortnightly pay average and are you considering the A380 - what does it involve/where will it travel to?

Have you made the right decision?]
Cant wait to hear back...

Many Thanks
