where should i apply?
Hi everybody, I'm an Italian cabin crew and I would like to move somewhere else in Europe to work as c/a.
Could you give me some advice aboutwhat airlines to apply for, how the recruitement is done (in england, for instance), medical and swim test...here in italy it's quite different i guess, coz we still have a licence etc...
i am sending the application to easyjet. does anybody work there?
any useful information?

i used 2 work for easyjet- they were a great company 2 work for! i really enjoyed my time there-such gr8 people & a good laugh.
they like people 2 b them-self, be open & have sum sort of "flair" about them. easyjet promotes a very "family" orientated culture!
i would just suggest be yourself- be chatty & not scared to say what you think!
interview consists of group session (team building exercises)
maths&english test if you pass these 2 parts then you will be kept in the afternoon for a 2 on 1 interview.
i had a great laugh @ the interview & felt very relazed- def go 4 it & give them your all!
im starting with BA @ the start of december- so wish me luck.

what about the swimming part ? is it hard? and the medical? i have contacts, here in italy it's ok because before starting a ground training, we must first pass a medical examination in the place where pilots get their (we have the same requirements as private pilots). I had interviews with alitalia....but they said my eyesight was too bad for them :-((

i flew a contract for electra airlines in greece (thro company called air-scotland) and had 2sit same medcal- licence exams that you would need 2 sit in italy-very very tough!!! (you get a cabin crew licence-dont you!)
swimming is very easy- jump in pool-swim up and down, save someone and pull them from 1 end 2 other! no rafts etc onboard ezy! medical would need 2 b done by doctor- very easy & basic....as long as ur fit & healthy..contacts fine, although couldnt comment on wot kind of vision requirements r needed?
thats all i can think of- advantage that u speak ur own language & also english! you would get extra bonus in wages for 2nd/3rd language skills....as said good luck again!

if you become a regular on Cabin Crew Forum you'll see that members are talking about who's recruiting where all the time. Like in the "All about EK" and "The BIG BA" threads
BTW, did you try BA?
Regarding the medical, in France as well as Italy CC have to undergo the same medical examination as pilots every two years (every year after 40) and have a professional licence called CSS (Certificat Securité Sauvetage) in France and Certificazione in Italy. But don't worry too much about AZ medical: their eyesight requirements are much stricter than the legal requirements. If you have a doubt call the IML and ask them if your eyesight would be ok by their rules.

hi flyblue, i already have the italian "certificazione" and the IML certificate...it's a pity i couldn't get in az just for my eyesight even if i already had my certificazione! anyways....
i haven't tried with BA yet, I can't manage to register on their site to fill in the application form!
surfing the web i read that some airlines have a maths test!!! in italy it's pretty different...a lot of psychological stuff like tests and so on...
different point of views from different countries...

....now i'm messed up with filling up application forms!! is it possibile that they want to know all the subjects studied and grades....
it's a mess to explain my school/university history since i've been changing country every 1 or 2 years!
