Well I went to the Edmonton OD/AD and made it through to the Final Interviews alongside a few other great people I met along the way. I must say that the whole process is a long one, but SO worth it in the end. Now to hand send in a few things, and wait for that call...I hope it's good news on the other end. Wish me luck! I'm so excited for this!

Hello everyone! I am just wondering if you can re-apply again even though you haven't reach 6 months yet the last time you had an interview. Are they going to find out? Are they going to deny your application?

Last year I was invited to attend an assessment day and I made it all the way to the final interview but I was so nervous, I spazzed out and I couldn't think of any answers to the questions that the recruiter asked me. This year I applied again and received an e-mail notification for an open day. I was wondering if the open day is different to the assessment day or if it follows the exact same procedure.

I'd also like to know about the hairstyles they allow I have great hair, the e-mail only said business attire (skirts and stockings). Last year I put it in a pony tail so that the recruiters could see the length and condition. I was wondering if you have to tie it up at all? At the assessment day only about six of us made it to the final interview and we all looked different. Any feedback would be great. Thanks :)

Vanille Noisette, the resignation letter is simply a letter that confirms that you resigned. Why would he refuse to sign that? He is legally obliged to do so after you resigned and if you request it for your new employer. There wont be a problem after all.

Flyfreely00, yes they are going to find out. Has been discussed several times here already as well.

Sky princess: the difference between OD and AD is described on their careers website andnhas been discussed on this forum several times as well. Concerning your hair, the recruiters don't care how nice your hair is, as you will have to wear it n a bun anyway for work. Just make sure you look neat and business attire-like.

Me my status was approval in progress for a week now and one of the people that were with me in my FI had his account locked yesterday and received his GC today!
Mine is still Approval in progress and I'm so worried now, they already contacted people in my group.
What does this mean for my case? :ugh::ugh::ugh:

Today finally I tried to login and I got the message "Your Recruitment Coordinator Will Contact You At Earliest". Im sooooo happy to say the least. Now i am really waiting for my golden call. Good luck to everyone!

does it make a difference if there was a lot of people in the FI? In mine there were many people and many boys.
Anyone have idea why some people take longer than other?
If you say you can join as soon as possible do you wait longer for reply because there is no need of notice period to be given to an employer?

I have an OD on the 24 March 2012. I am so nervous. This my dream career since I was 9 and now I have the chance to get in. Can anyone give me some advise on what to bring? qualifications needed? Do you really need a passport on the OD/AD. I'm getting my passport but if I get in it will be ready before the GC. How is the interview work? What do I have to prepare? I have so many questions.. I have a tattoo on my wrist and I can cover it but is it acceptable?

Please anyone let me know. :)

I had my FI on the 10th of January. It's been 2 weeks now.As far as I know noone has been contacted from the people I keep in touch with.
Do you think it'd be OK if I send some more photos on the recruitment@ mail they left on the contract?

You should find most of the answers in the previous pages :) Take the time to read this post thoroughly.

For an OD, you just need your resume, to wear business attire and a smile!

Many people have already written about how the day goes on and it seems to differ from one OD to another, depending on attendance I reckon.
