Height
I know many times the issue of height has been discussed about being too short. But is there a too tall for women? Im 5'11 or 180cm... Is that too much? Any of you already over there know of tall women working there?
|
Can anyone tell me how long is the longest days anyone has been waiting for the GC?
I have been waiting for 8 days. Does the status really mean something? Thanks!!!!!!!! Crystal |
I don't know if the online status means anything...
You are good with 8 days:).....counting today too, it's been 15 days since "you will be contacted..." and nothing:bored: |
Hi Mayanne001
The OD is very special, because anybody can go, you don't need an invitation, you just have to bring your CV and your most beautiful smile :O !! During this open day, the recruiters demonstrate their company with videos etc to impress us!!! lol they are very good in marketing!! dont be bowred because they watch all of us, watch your attitude, the way you are sitting, and be patient, because its veeeeery loong but at the end its worth! The "touch" with the recruiter is very short, generally they take like 2min: introducing, if you are working, why emirates etc. it depends of the person you will have when you will give your cv, they can also ask you to reach 214cm if they arent sure of your size.
I was in Paris and we were more than 200 people so we couldnt have the assessment day on the same day, so we had to wait the call until 6pm, ive got mine at 4pm. I hope the next one will be all on the same day cause its stress me out to wait all noon!! Good luck everyone! |
God...
You should call them. I know someone who called and got his DOJ after 14 days of waiting. |
Did anyone's status changed to "you will be contacted"
and still didnt get in? |
Hello to all!

Is there any problem if girls had HPV? Iīm very concerned with this question because i donīt have the result of this test yet and if i have the hpv virus itīs unacceptable by the company? Girls in Dubai, please i need some of your help in this. Thank you all! |
Two Melons
Hey there, I am sure there is a "to tall" but you will be fine with 180 cm, there's plenty of tall girls in the company! :ok:

Tips
Thans Seja, I figured it would be ok, such a silly question but I wanted some reassurance.
Ive thoroughly read through a very large portion on these threads and they have been so Helpful. I highly reconmend to anyone like me who is about to apply, going to an od/ad f1 go through these forums. Most people gets really nervous through their interviews and I am no exception. I think I have what it takes, but because I want it so bad it puts extra pressure on me to perform well. So Heres a previous post I found from March of last year that lists the questions asked. I think it only serves to help your nerves if you practice these questions and really get comfortable with your answers. Sure they might change some words, even ask you questions not on the list, but I think it really helps you to feel prepared. 1)What are your hobbies? 2)What do you do as a job right now? 3) What have you been doing since you have been out of work? 4) When can you leave to Dubai? 5)Tell me the longest international experience? 6)Why do you want to be a cabin crew? 7)Please describe what you do at work? 8) have you ever encountered a situation where you and your customer crossed over a line? 9)Please tell us the best achievement while you've work there? 10)Have you ever had a situation where you had to bend your opinion? Please give us an example and tell us how you dealt it? 11) Next is a two part question, please give us each examples where you've followed through a guideline and where you didn't? part two with examples: Q: Why do you want to be a flight attendant? A: I love to travel and my outgoing personality enables me to interact well with people; strangers alike. I also like to play host and being a flight attendant presents a great opportunity. Q: Why would you make a good flight attendant? A: I enjoy interacting with people and anticipating their needs is second nature to me. I am flexible and don't have to stick to routines. I'm independent and practise a lot of initiatives. Q: Would you be willing to relocate? A: YES YES YES! That's the part where I'm flexible too. (Even if you aren't, tell them that you are.) As you can see in my CV, I spent a semester in Denmark with Erasmus scholarship and I also worked a summer in the USA with the US Work and Travel programme. Q: How do you handle stressful situations? A: I handle stress well as I am cool headed. I am not rash and have a habit of thinking things through carefully. For example, once when I worked at the Hyatt as a trainee... Q: Tell us a time when you had to solve a problem within a group of people. How did you solve it, and what was the outcome? A: (Think of your last or previous job, and give an example with that) Q: What is the difference between good customer service, and exceptional customer service? What do you consider exceptional customer service? A: It is easy to provide good customer service. Usually by not making a mistake is good enough for many. Exceptional customer service will not only make the customer feel satisfied but usually compel him/her to commend or compliment the staff in writing. It is a service that exceeds the customer's expectations. For example, when I worked at the Concierge of Four Seasons in Budapest, I always made sure that... Q: How would you handle a complaint? A: Firstly, I would show that I am concerned; that I'm willing to listen to find out what had happened. It is important to let the complainant speak (this shows I care) and digest the whole situation before offering help or solution. Then I would assure him that I would investigate the matter and try to offer some form of compensation or assistance for rectification. Q: What are your strengths and weaknesses? A: I am an optimist who has a good outlook on life and thus smile easily. (If you know a foreign language, you should mention it.) My weakness is I love to eat and hence need to really refrain sometimes so that I won't put on too much weight. Why do you think some passengers take their frustrations out on cabin crew, even though the cabin crew are trying to help them? What would you do if you saw one of your colleagues being deliberately rude to a passenger? What would you do if a commercially important passenger complained that another commercially important passenger is snoring too loudly behind him? If, for example, there are 60 children on the flight, but you only have 40 toys. How would you deal with this situation? What would you do if the seat belt signs were on and the aircraft is about to take off, but a passenger insist that he has to kneel down to conduct his prayer due to religious reasons? I know its alot, but it does help to rehearse ; ) |
Hi Vanille-Noisette,
Because i donīt have the cervical smear test result yet, my doctor said me that he canīt write anything because he needs to be sure about the test result. I donīt know how to do because i just have 10 days to upload all the medicals and my doctor canīt give a deadline for the test result. About the hpv i checked various docs and there isnīt any pill for this because the doctors said that when the virus is on your body he stays there and you have to control the situation every year and be sure that the cervical smear test is ok. There isnīt a pill to treat this. The other medicals are all ok but about this iīm a little bit concerned because the doctor said me that hpv is very frequent in female. |
I have a question, I have tried to contact the recruitment department but have had no response.
I attended an open day, and got through the assessment day about 5 weeks ago, to be invited to the final interview. The following morning I was unwell and unable to attend, and only had the email address of the recruiter that had sent the personality test the night before to advise them of this. My status now says "invited- failed to attend". Am I now ineligible to apply for another year? Or am I able to because I have not been rejected..just a little confused! |
